Beautiful attic lodge

As this is a well thought out attic conversion you just have to mind your head 😉 but this is being picky. There's nothing not to like.

Great stay and would recommend.

Accomodation was great and as described. Very clean and well prepared. Kids loved seeing the fish in the large pond opposite. A welcome treat was also a hit.

Pleasant Getaway for a spontaneous break.

Lovely lodge, beautifully decorated with everything you need. Lovely location with views of the countryside. Hosts were lovely and welcoming. The pond by the lodge is nice to walk round and watch the wildlife. Binoculars are there to use. It's nice and peaceful, we enjoyed our stay

Not really a dislike but the photos are misleading. The lodge is shown from the other side of what seems a good size body of water...as it says lake view...that's what was expected. In fact it's a pond. This was a minor disappointment as I had imagined a leisurely stroll around a good size lake. it was a slight disappointment to not be able to use any of the outdoor areas, the lake not being suitable to spend time around, not being able to access the countryside and go for a walk around it, and the small patio/garden area wasn't clean and wasn't the kind of place we wanted to sit in, we had to get cleaning products and wipe down the table and chairs. so almost the entirety of the outdoor area was unusable and we just stayed indoors and admired the view. You cannot see lodge from the opposite side as mother nature has run amok. Which in itself isn't a negative, just you don't get the view as pictured. Also I think the area around the pond is underutilized. There's two nice picnic tables in the undergrowth at the opposite end of the pond...would be nice if one was on the grassy area by the pond to use. Just a thought. Also there's a gate in the enclosed patio area , hard to open. We were told we could walk round the field but there is actually no access to. The gate just leads to the ditch around the field which is overgrown...as nature does. We tried the road way to see if access, there is a way but barred by a locked gate. So no luck. .

Luxury accommodation near Gainsborough

We booked the lodge as we ( couple plus mother in law and granddaughter ) were attending a wedding just down the road at the registry office and the Venue at Roses which made the location perfect. The lodge itself is stunning, containing everything we could possibly need and some. My only regret was that we couldn't spend more time there due to the wedding, but would not hesitate in recommending to anyone looking for accommodation in the area, we would love to come back one day. The lodge is in a rural setting with its own pond, we particularly enjoyed watching the young swallows building up the strength for the migration ahead.

What’s not to like about this quiet relaxing peaceful lodge in such a surprising location, firstly there is the view which is lovely with a brew first thing I must add, polite hosts and helpful and responsive throughout, greeted by biscuits and crisps also. Long story short you won’t be disappointed with Thonock Lane lodge.
