Such a cozy place to stay in the middle of the mountain nature road. The room was at the top of a Japanese cafe, and so we were greeted by the staff there. The atmosphere is amazing with an orange light, on a wooden hut standing across Doi Luang Chiang Down foothill. We sat on the porch as time goes by, just to chill. For dinner, we ordered Moo Krata; the price is a bit higher, but the portion makes sense. I believe it's for 3-4 people. The owner, the aunty, the granda, the boy, a loss dog, a stray cat, and staff are amazing, and to mention some of the fellow travellers, these people are truly what make this place as it is.
The room looks beautiful and practical, but what became my concern is that the window and window frame are not perfectly matched. Some to the extent that they could not be closed all the way. And the locks they provide for when you're outside are a bit weak. I tried to lock and pull the lock down with my hands, and it worked. As well as the lock inside the room, there's only one. A small one. As long as the place felt safe and there was not much to worry about. It could be better to have a functional and reliable safety net to fall on in case of an emergency.

It is walking distance to the caves, the mountains are sooo amazing and the terrace is so peaceful! They own a cafe in front of the hotel, they have very nice coffee and cute place to chill. I love the room as well.
The bed was super hard and firm:( and the shower was a little weird, the pressure was very low and i couldnt change the temperature. If i needed to wash my hair, it would be a huge struggle. But for the price you pay, everything is beyond good!

I wish I could have stayed longer - this place truly felt peaceful. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, especially Aunty, who was so easygoing and kind. Their dogs and cats added so much charm to the stay! Just getting to hold Jaew, even briefly, was such a joy. And Cha Yen, the dog, actually ran up to us when we crossed paths near the guesthouse - turns out he was visiting a friend nearby! That little moment made the whole experience feel even more personal and connected. The guesthouse is beautifully surrounded by greenery, with lovely mountain views. With an on-site cafe, bar, and restaurant, it’s easy to just settle in and enjoy the terrace all day. The location is also great - within walking distance to several cafes and restaurants, and not too far from town. A short hike around the area is definitely worth it.
The only downside: I’d recommend avoiding the small double room next to the main building. It was overrun with ants so that I finally understood why such a wonderful place had a few negative reviews on Booking. Fortunately, the host managed to switch my room, and the rest of the stay was fine. Still, it was a frustrating start that could have been avoided.

The spacious wooden deck was a beautiful feature, however non of the lounger cushions were laid out like in the listing photos. Great views.
The wall divider in our deluxe room was super thin, which meant we could hear every pin drop from our neighbours room, breathing, chatting, farting and them using the toilet. Which was not great for privacy. Just something to consider. This also meant that when they checked out and the room was being cleaned super early in the morning, there was a lot of noise before 08:00 in the morning.
