Villa Amalia - mansarda B&B

Close to airport. Views from patio. Helpful owner. Spacious and clean.

The entry to the apartment is an industrial type fire escape with 20 plus metal, diamond plate steps with a 6 inch elevated landing made of what appeared to be wooden planks covered by a sheet of plastic. There is an internal stairway into the apartment living room that was gated and not offered for our use. Not sure why, it would make the entire difference staying there. Yes, the description says there is a staircase - but does not say external or the type. In over 400 days travelling in Europe I've never seen and since did not expect one like this. The owner was kind enough to help with the bags going in. PS, to get in you have to duck under a masonry sill well under 6 feet on one side.

Good place to stay near airport. A very large apartment with roof terrace. Near a good restaurant to walk to. Owner will pick up and take back to airport for 50 euros

The only negative was the 50 euro transfer, which seems a lot for a 10 minute drive.
