Wichana Wasi

jorge is a warm and welcoming host who even stayed up until past midnight for me as my flight arrived late. he made different breakfast every morning. the view is stunning, as the hostel is up on a hill (many steps tho!). i loved the authenticity and simplicity of wichana wasi, and the warm atmosphere with which jorge and his wife treated me. when i left for a few days to do the salkantay trek, they looked after my luggage and made sure that my stuff awaited me in my room when i returned. it's very calm up there, i slept well. and jorge uses the income for charity as they are looking after abandoned kids.

Stairs up were a bit tiring

An incredibly lovely family run hostel in San Blas, run by Jorge who is very kind and accommodating. Lovely rooms (with comfy beds!) and an amazing view over the city (up quite a few steps but worth it for the accommodation and views). Had very delicious breakfast here too. I was going to stay 5 nights initially and extended to two weeks!
