Gami Ex-Factory Lofts

Nice room, clean

It was hard to find the entrance of the hotel since it was behind the main building and to park there we had to go around, there was not a lot of signage and it looked like we were not allowed to go around, but staff in the main building were helpful

The apartments (spread over an old factory building that also has offices) are functional and have modern decor. It was very nice to have a kitchen, and it is quite convenient to be able to park on site. The staff were friendly and responsive. It was a short walk to the center.

We booked for 2 adults and 3 kids but they had not made up the third bed, and we had to request bedding from reception. (They provided it when we asked). The cutlery in the kitchenette was a little worn out. The indoor sauna (a box outside one of the bedrooms) would be a little awkward to use if you are staying as a group. The bathroom had two types of shower gel but no shampoo. These are small points; nothing dramatic.

Great stay - good location.

Gami Lofts was formerly a factory that has been remodeled into apartments. The apartment was well appointed and has a clean, modern feel. Proximity to Ljubiana city center attractions is great - an easy 10-15 minute walk.

The online pictures do not necessarily represent the room that one is assigned. (My wife thought there would be a bath or hot tub, which was not the case). The bigger issue is the unit is represented as two bedrooms. In reality our unit had one bed in the open loft with an actual adjacent bedroom both being upstairs. So the people sleeping in the loft bed do not have privacy. Our stay was only a few days so we dealt with this. Final issue is the lighting for the stairs. When anyone would get up in the night to go downstairs, a motion sensor turns on several lights to illuminate the stairs. This is a nice idea except the lights are very bright and wake up the people sleeping in the open loft. We covered the sensor to prevent the lights from turning on.
