Mahoni Guest House

I had a wonderful stay at Mahoni Guesthouse in Moni, Flores, and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience, even though it was just for one night before my sunrise hike to Mount Kelimutu. From the moment I arrived, I was met with such a warm and genuine welcome from Haya and Antea that I instantly felt at home. Everything felt easy, personal, and very comfortable from the start. The room was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything I needed. The bed was very comfortable, and I especially appreciated the warm blanket—it gets quite cold in the mountains, so that made a big difference. A hot shower was also available, which was a real comfort after a long travel day. Breakfast was delicious and very satisfying, and I also really appreciated the flexibility of being able to have it at any time. This made it so easy to go for the sunrise hike to Kelimutu and return without any rush or stress. The terrace area was also a lovely place to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. What made the stay truly unforgettable was the incredible hospitality and sense of community. I was invited to join a local celebration on May 27, which became one of the absolute highlights of my travels. The day I will never forget During this time, Anthea looked after in the warmest and most natural way. Thank you so much Haja, Galank and Antea for everything—the kindness, the hospitality, and the unforgettable memories. I would love to come back one day.

I had a great stay at Mohoni Guest House. The room was clean and big and they were really helpful in arranging a driver to go to Kelimutu and drop me off in Ende. Breakfast was delicious!

It wasn’t an issue for me, but it might be worth noting that there’s no wifi. And it would be really helpful if you could add some hand soap to the rooms!

Super warm and friendly host and clean and spacious rooms! The host helped us organize a share taxi for our journey and also has scooters for rent to explore the area. Super nice to sit on the patio and enjoy the views of the garden and mountains! Also situated close to plenty of restaurants! Really enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it.

The staff was very kind and attentive, and the breakfast was fresh and delicious.

The rooms all face the road and are quite noisy, with motorbikes and trucks sounding almost as if they were inside the room. There are also moldy, smelly areas on the walls and ceiling.
