    Great hostel! Right in the middle of Tanah rata, kept nice and clean, with a kitchen to cook your own food if you want, mopeds to hire and activities to book. Nice social but chill atmosphere also. The staff were really friendly, and when the water heater in one of the showers broke it was fixed asap. Only negative was that the mattresses were not comfortable.

    I stayed here as a solo female traveller and would like to share a fair and honest review to help future guests better understand the actual experience. Firstly, the Agoda listing mentioned a 4-person female dormitory, but the actual setup appeared closer to a much larger dorm with around 16–18 beds. This creates a very different expectation in terms of privacy and comfort. Secondly, payment was not processed through Agoda like most bookings. Guests are required to transfer payment upon arrival, which may feel less secure for some travellers, especially solo travellers. Safety and security could also be improved. During my stay, both the room and main entrance were often left unlocked during the day and evening. Even for budget backpacker accommodation, basic security remains important. Another issue was operational clarity. There were many notices placed throughout the common areas, which at times felt visually overwhelming and confusing. For example, notices stated the induction cooker was for staff use only, yet guests regularly saw cooking taking place openly in the kitchen area, naturally creating mixed signals about usage. The music played in the common area could also be improved. As the accommodation receives both local and international travellers, a more balanced mix of English or international music may help create a more welcoming atmosphere for guests from different backgrounds. Overall, this place may still suit travellers who prefer a very casual and social backpacker style environment. My intention is only to provide constructive feedback to help improve communication, organisation, clarity, and overall guest confidence moving forward.
