The property itself was amazing — lovely facilities, overall setup, and great location!

The hot water system was terrible (one of the worst I have seen, to be frank). It could not run more than 4 minutes of hot water at a time. Unfortunately, the bath was around a 20-25 minute fill, so we could only run an ice-cold bath. We checked with the staff, however no resolution was able to be reached. We were told this was just due to the limitations of the current system. We tried everything to run a hot bath, but this was impossible. So do not expect to be able to get a hot bath (though the jacuzzi on the deck was great!)

Great location - quiet, beautiful outlook, easy to get to town, access to walking paths and easy access to the lake.

We had trouble navigating the wifi and heating! Some more info on how to trouble shoot these things would have been helpful.

The location of this property is great. Close to the Main Street of Daylesford. It’s on a lovely private and quiet lot. The welcome hamper is really gorgeous filled with quality local goods. The furnishings are lovely and the decor really blends into the natural surroundings. The beds were really comfortable and the fact that it’s pet friendly is a massive plus.

The property was rather dirty. The people cleaning this property either don’t have enough time to thoroughly clean in between guests or they aren’t putting enough effort into the cleanliness of the property. For this reason I’d rather stay in a hotel next time. A lot of the dishes in the cupboards were dirty, dead flies were in almost every corner of the house, the top of the fridge had never been wiped down it was filthy. The bottom tiles in the shower of the master bedroom en-suite was dirty I had to buy shower cleaner and clean it myself. For the price you pay to stay here I think the standard of cleanliness should certainly be a lot higher. Mary from dayget was absolutely wonderful I found her to be extremely warm and professional however the after hours service contact we unfortunately had to call the first night wasn’t very professional.
