Luang Prabang Golden Lotus Villa River View

Location anywhere in the LP centre is so easy that no surprise all hotels get a top rating for location including this one. Good breakfast (which bigger eaters can top up at various outlets like the close by morning market if needed). Best is the seating and table outside every room overlooking the Nam kan river which is somewhat best compared to other hotels. Room is bigger than expected and works great. Easier access to the back side of the main strip / street for exploring other places.

This place should normally get a 10 rating, but mild ding as it doesn't have a proper common reception area. Staff are helpful and somewhat responsive, but 1. laundry came back end of day crumpled (some other hotels do it in house, and quicker), and 2. taxi price quoted for train was initially too high ahd the shared van option was only offered later, and still higher than the next hotel (which had a receptionist) so I went there instead to catch the minivan for the train. Would still give this a good rating though, but it misses a 10.

Right on the banks of the Nam Khan River, and minutes from the attractions in town like the Royal Palace, Mt Phousi, night and morning markets, cruises, cafes and restaurants, this place was ideal. They served a lovely breakfast to order, so met all my needs. The bed was super comfy and the staff were very friendly. One morning, served breakfast earlier than scheduled because I was going on a day trip to the waterfalls, so yes for me!

Room has no windows, can be a bit noisy at night since it's rigth in front of the road, name on booking.com is not correct and can cause issues with taxis, real name is Golden Lotus Nam Khan View

The room was very large and it was right on the river. There was a choice for breakfast and fruit was given with each meal. The location was good as most places are in this area of LP. This place had the hottest water for showers and out of the sink that I have ever had. AC worked fine.

The water coming out of the faucet had a foul smell and I am not sure why that was. The room has no real windows so it can be a tad dark and claustrophobic.
