Luang Prabang Golden Lotus Villa River View

I had a wonderful stay at Golden Lotus Place. The location is excellent—just a 2-minute walk from the Main Street, the night market, and the morning alms ceremony, while still being peaceful and quiet. The room was clean, comfortable, and everything worked well throughout my stay. Breakfast was fresh and enjoyable each morning, with a good variety of options. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with recommendations and arranging anything I needed. Overall, this was excellent value for money, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Luang Prabang.

The staff are lovely and humble. They were not pushy and always provided us with a full breakfast and ever so helpful. Location was great as it’s away from the wrung of tourists on the main street and near the Mekong: The Nam river is quiet and serene at least in low season. We didn’t do much at all ie no tours to waterfalls or caves etc but instead relaxed, walked the street, indulged in local food and culture/art for 5 days.

The room was very large and it was right on the river. There was a choice for breakfast and fruit was given with each meal. The location was good as most places are in this area of LP. This place had the hottest water for showers and out of the sink that I have ever had. AC worked fine.

The water coming out of the faucet had a foul smell and I am not sure why that was. The room has no real windows so it can be a tad dark and claustrophobic.
