Bannockburn House

The property is the perfect location when staying in Bannockburn or wanting easy access to surrounding areas. The picturesque landscape is only rivalled by the exceptional and warm hospitality you will receive. We were treated to stunning sun rises, fresh local breakfast and spot on recommendations for dinner at the Bannockburn hotel across our stay. Truely the perfect stay.

Absolutely wonderful stay with a fantastic location, wonderful hosts, and beautiful grounds. Breakfast was filling and delicious and went beyond our expectations. Within walking distance to many wineries, this allowed us to explore the area. Or you can just grab some wine and sit and enjoy the perfect view out the back door!

We thorougly enjoyed our stay here. The 'cottage' is spacious, clean and well equipped and set in a beautiful area south of Cromwell. There were generous provisions to make your own breakfast with, and the proprietors could not have been more welcoming and helpful. There are good restaurants within walking distance in Bannockburn, and more (plus shopping) a short drive away in Cromwell. If you're travelling in this part of NZ then this is good base. Wānaka and Queenstown are both an easy drive and there's also history to explore nearby in Cromwell and the Karawau Gorge.

We had no complaints and no real 'negatives' come to mind. Perhaps if you can't survive without cooked (fried) breakfast then you may need to check with the proprietors whether it's available from them or a nearby cafe because there is no cooking hob in the cottage, but the 'continental'-style breakfast was perfect for us. We would be very happy to stay again.
