Ideal location. We walked everywhere and only needed a taxi to get to and from the airport. Lined with orange trees and full of bakeries and other shops, the neighborhood is adorable. Highlights: Don't miss out on taking the funicular up to Lycabettus Hill - it's just a 2 minute walk and the views are simply stunning. Our favorite restaurant was Zurbaran and it was a 10 minute walk. Their food and the decor were to die for. We were able to walk to the Acropolis, Plaka, Ermou Street and other city center attractions within 30 minutes. Other neighborhood highlights included The Runner sculpture, the National Gardens and Petraki Monastery.

It was not a bother for us, but those with mobility issues should know that the apartment is on a hill that requires you to descend and ascend steep streets and stairs no matter where you go.

Nelly dropped off the keys; she was very helpful in getting the keys to us quickly as I was traveling with my 10-month-old son. Communication via WhatsApp was also very helpful. The area around the apartment is very hilly, but there are great restaurants in the Kolonaki area. Overall we had a very good stay and I would stay here again.

I wish the apartment had a microwave. It would've made many things easier, like heating baby milk and sanitizing baby bottles or heating up my leftover food. The curtains let a lot of light into the apartment at night, my suggestion would be to get blackout curtains for all rooms as this will also help keep the heat inside the rooms in winter and make the rooms cooler during summer time. The neighbors were very noisy, but I understand this is not in the control of the owner/rental company.
