Pristine Nordic setting but with swarms of visitors

Incredible view, exceptional really. Central location. Adorable. Clean. Comfy. Nordic. Historical. Did I mention beautiful area!! So close to hiking.

Unless you 4ft tall, the counter/sink is troll size. Tourists in hordes and we can in the off season. Tourists crossing the private rope, coming onto your private porch. Yes. We are tourists too, but there are swarms. Careful on the stairs, don’t wear slippery socks. And pull out the fan in the upper closet, the loft is like a furnace when you sleep in the summer/fall. Once we turned that on, it was bearable.

Ultra cosy cabin with stunning views and an excellent fish monger with world class seafood next door

Anita has been the best hostess ever! She willingly shared her knowledge of local seafood and sourced great quality produce for us. The cabin is extremely cosy, and the views from the cabin are out of this world. There are three outside, secluded dining areas, so one can always sit where the temperature is best.

One should know that half the work surface in the kitchen is for very short people. The kitchen is equipped, but bring a chefs knife if you want to cook like a pro. The beds downstairs are VERY soft. Since there is daylight 24 hours a day during the summer black out curtains would have been nice.

Most amazing cabin

I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in a more amazing cabin. If I return to Lofoten, I will definitely book Yellow House again. As soon as you step inside, you’re greeted with stunning views of Lofoten right in front of you. The interior is beautifully designed, with every detail thoughtfully arranged to make you feel at home. Truly unforgettable!

The best place to relax and enjoy the stunning nature of Norway!

This was a fantastic stay. The location is amazing, tucked in the picturesque islands of Norway. The views all around are incredible. It is a close trip to any adventures in Reine or elsewhere in the Lofoten Islands - a great basecamp for exploring or hiking the islands. The house itself is cozy, charming, and inviting. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Awesome property - phenomenal view- with shortcomings

The location is beyond compare and it is very spacious and comfortable. It has a washer AND a dryer which we’ve found is unusual to have both.

We would have liked to have a microwave to reheat items. There also could be a window shade over the door and the sink to hide the view into the cabin from the prying eyes of the billiards of tourists who stop at the property to get their social media pictures from morning till night. If the northern lights appear be forewarned that people will descend on this property to get their photos as well and can be noisy in the middle of the night.

A place to return again

Fantastic view and very good location! Apartment was very spacious. Kitchen and bathroom was provided with everything necessary for longer stay (including olive oil which is seldom available in apartments). In the bathroom there were also a washing machine and a tumble dryer. Next to the apartment it was seefood shop and restaurant. We enjoyed very much burgers, fish soup and almond cake as well as fresh halibut we cooked ourselves.

Exceptional

Location: million dollar view and just in front of the bus stop. Very comfy, all necessary stuff is provided: towels, blankets, paper, salt, soap, washing machine and dryer, etc. Staff was extremely kind and helpful. Just beside the Anita's seafood: small market where some food goods can be bought. Friendly and kind staff. Tasty fish burger.

Shame that chimney couldn't be used. Tv in English cant be used (only bbc) and youtube is not working. No guard robe. But these are only small meaningless details. Attention: Supermarket is at 15 minuts walking distance only but closes on Friday at 18h and it opens again on Monday.

Location is spectacular.

The power breaker kept tripping. We didn’t have lights on so not sure why that kept happening. The lights outside the windows couldn’t shut f so when the northern lights appeared we couldn’t see them through the windows which was quite disappointing. Also, the neighbors parked so we couln t get out, especially when we got snow. Recommend taking a small part of that fence out as we almost hit it,

Perfect place to stay for a single person or a couple

The location was perfect and the view is absolutely as described. it’s located right next to a lunch restaurant and only minutes away from a nice dinner restaurant as well as gas, a Circle K, and a little coffee shop. The set up is very good and it’s very clean.

The only thing to be aware of which I discovered early on so it wasn’t a hindrance was that the electricity is quirky and one of the circuits trips off every so often. All you need to do is go in the box and pop it up if it seems the electricity isn’t working.

A little slice of heaven in the Arctic Circle

Quite possibly the nicest coziest place with one of the best landscape views in the world! Could walk out our front door and watch the northern lights three nights in a row in early September! Sat on the deck and had breakfast looking out on the towering peaks across the bay was something that I will remember for as long as I possibly can. Just an amazing place. Whenever we had questions the hosts Anita and Mia were super quick to respond. Would be such a cool place to ride out a winter storm in - so comfortable.

I wish the place had a toaster as we bought bread in town but couldn't heat it up each morning. Roped off parking lot is small and requires a tight maneuver to get into. These are two nit picky things.

I called 8 times to ask where to check in and no one helped me. The staff at the restaurant was terrible, I asked where to check in because I had a dog and the first sentence only said no dogs allowed.

Very very very soft bed! It will be quite difficult for people who are used to sleeping on good orthopedic mattresses to adapt to such softness of the bed! Lack of sofas and the ability to lie down in the cabin. Not very convenient parking.

Cozy and comfortable cabin with amazing views. Well-equipped,spotlessly clean. Free (and good)WiFi. We had a designated parking spot and outdoor seating. Conveniently located next to Anita’s Seafood where we had a cinnamon bun every day. Having the washer and dryer were a big plus. The busy parking lot next door didn’t bother us. We stayed for 4 days and it wasn’t enough. Would definitely return!

Steep stairs to the loft, no blackout curtains. Wall between the two cabins is a bit thin.
