Gladijator Amphitheater

Location was unbeatable. Literally on the lane leading to the amphitheatre, you can stroll down to it in the evening and take the site in when it’s lighted up. Very close to all the action, food, main coach station and major bus routes. Communications with the host was excellent throughout. Locating and access was also easy. The proprty was clean and provided basic items in the kitchen and bathroom. E.g. I dont like buying a handwash and washing up liquid for a 1-2 nights stay. Having these available was a great bonus. Good wifi. Towels and extra bedding was provided too. Having and AC was great.

The property is dated and cupboard doors need mending. The toilet area is very narrow not recommended for tall/big persons. Even my children needed a maneuver to get in and out. A bin and towel holder can be useful in the bathroom.

The location

There weren’t any white parking spaces to be seen that were “free” and the blue parking space is cost €75 a day! I did on my own manage to find some further away from the apartment that €30 a day but I really feel that this should’ve been something that the owner told us about. I also asked for the sofa to be made up, but that message wasn’t read until after we left. Also, if you have mobility issues or of our of a larger size, this property isn’t for you because the toilet is squeezed in a space that makes it quite hard to access.

I found this gem when I had to change plans and vacate the resort (60km away) where my mum, my 2 teens and I were staying (as my mum suffered a head injury and was taken to Pula Hospital). Tea immediately responded to my questions. I hadn’t realised how perfect the location is and the surrounding beautiful town. It is central and close to the bus station. It took us 20m to walk to the hospital and 1/2 hr to McDonald’s. It’s right next to the amphitheater where big bands play. Tea was contactable at all times and her apartment of immaculate interior design and functional spaces was perfect. Also plenty of plugs ! We all had great sleeps; my daughter and I shared the spacious huge double bed and my son in the bed in the kitchen which was very private for him. WiFi perfect (with 2 teens!). My daughter really enjoyed her shower as we had had a very long day of stress and travel and there was a hairdryer which made my daughters evening. I only wish our trip had been a more relaxed one and we could have stayed a few days utilising the beautiful space, cooking some meals in the wonderful kitchen (with everything you need such as toaster/kettle(!) and going to some of Tea’s recommended sites. This is an absolute must stay if you get the opportunity. The value for money is fantastic to some and I have stayed in Booking.com apartments and rooms in a few countries. This was on another level. We liked the location of the appartment and the terrace. It was nicely furnished.

We booked for four people, so two had to sleep on the couch. But when we arrived, the couch was not made. When i talked to the owner she said that we have the sheets and towels in the drawer and that we should do it. Also all the stuff in the kitchen had to be cleaned before using it cause it wasnt really clean.
