Amazing location, beautiful views

Lovely venue. I didn't realise until after I arrived that it is possible to take a ferry from very near the accommodation in to Plymouth. We ended up using this service every day. It added a real fun and interesting element to our stay.

Great location with views of the Tamar and Cornwall
Some elements just need a bit of maintenance

Beautiful apartment in a historic building. Quiet location. Various good restaurants nearby.
The furnishings are getting on in years: various light switches defective, few dishes in the kitchen, heavily calcified shower head in the shower etc.. We had no light in the bathroom for three days. What a pity!

We stayed at the Clarence building and really enjoyed our time there. The location was perfect, right next to Devil’s Point beach, which made it very convenient. Just to note, there are quite a few stairs to climb when accessing the beach, so it might not be ideal for anyone with mobility issues. Our river view apartment was lovely and comfortable. The view was mainly from the living room, and as the apartment was on the first floor with higher windows, it was best enjoyed while standing. Overall, we had a great stay in a beautiful location.
The bed was extremely soft, and we almost sank to the bottom, which left us waking up with backache. There was no air-conditioning or fans, and it got very hot at night, making it difficult to sleep. Out of our 3 nights, we only had 1 night of decent sleep. The Royal William Yard itself only had a few restaurants, most of which closed at 9pm, and there weren’t any halal options nearby. For halal food, we had to go into the main town, which was about 10 minutes away by bus (£2.50 single fare, with buses running roughly every hour). Other than that, we had a lovely time and would definitely come back.

Location... unique, grand building, with history...good bars and restaurants nearby.. about 40min walk to Barbican though...but easy and bus was easy to.. very nice ambience. Good parking available if speak to host they can explain.. at reasonable cost. .. good bathroom and kitchen facilities...
Apartment was very nicely appointed having what we needed for time we were there apart from no hairdryer which was listed on booking .com.. told landlord but didn't replace while we were there which was a bit disappointing when wife was reliant on it being there. Historic windows made ventilation of room at night difficult.. but generally ok..

The communication was excellent which explained in detail the entry process. The facilities were excellent as well as being very clean & tidy, i would stay again.
as i have stayed in the RWY many times previously, there wasn't anything i didn't like, i got what i had expected.

stunning property, all tidy and had everything we needed. there was even a supply of milk and teabags ready for our arrival. In a great location looking over the sea with plenty of restaurants etc on our doorstep!
the faff of paying to park, should come in room price. (Although a very minor negative to the whole stay)

Great location and fab views form apartment
Overall the apartment could do with a little maintenance - the front door rubs on the floor causing it to not close automatically and requires quite a bit of force to open and close.
There was next to no glassware - 2 wine glasses that did not match and three half pint glasses that looked like they had been nicked from a pub!

The view from the lounge window was spectacular!! so interesting to watch the activity on the water.
very comfortable beds.
when catering there were very few plates cups and glasses. no instructions for microwave that I could find. bathroom floor not clean. The parking situation was horrendous, my poor husband was constantly looking for parking spots. would not book anything next time without an allocated parking spot.

Location perfect for a historic city centre base in Plymouth. Wonderful access to plenty of good cafes and restaurants lovely river and harbour walks and very atmospheric views from the window with plenty of marine traffic - even got a sail past by the American Navy, all standing to attention on deck.
The bathroom tap was not working and although the plumber was called he could not visit until we left, so we had no bath for three nights. Also, the blinds in the living room would not close, the toaster switch was broken, the kitchen clock had stopped and the batteries were flat for the tv remote. Although these seem minor irritations they are basic issues that should be attended to before any new arrivals.

The buildings
The fact that there are no elevators, especially when you’re old, the stairs are a bit of a problem.

Great Location! Nice views from the apartment.
Parking was slightly confusing and it should have been free.

Location, history and view from the windows was fab.
No basics such as washing up liquid and hand wash.

Great location and lovely interesting building. Plenty of space and very comfortable. Plenty of parking available just opposite the building (P&D) and lots of family friendly restaurants just round the corner. Beautiful sea views from the living room.
Not much not to like. Would have been handy to have some essentials like hand wash provided in the bathrooms. Steps are quite steep and might be an issue for younger children

The property is set in a great location and is beautifully furnished
The bath/shower is dangerously slippy. You need an anti-slip mat.
The seagulls had me awake at 4am each morning due to having to open the window because the apartment was sooo hot. Maybe provide a couple of fans for the bedroom??
Thanks
