Botanico Hostel

What a cute hostel! This was the first time introducing my teens to a hostel. We had a private room with private bathroom, but it did give them an idea of the hostel environment, and they were able to peek into the dorms and such to see what it was like. Staff was super friend. I got the breakfast one morning and it was yummy. Overall, the place was clean and well taken care of. Great spot to stay if choosing to make la Candelaria your home away from home while visiting Bogota.

Lovely hostel, really nice staff and breakfast. Good bathrooms and water pressure. Social without being crazy. Several nice communal spaces to chill. Good location walkable to all the tourist spots.

When they light the BBQ or people smoke on the terrace sometimes the smoke would drift into our room and make it smell.

The best thing about the hostel is the staff - all are friendly, helpful and faultless. Location is pretty good but steep slopes or get there may be an issue. Nice bar, good laundry service and taxi booking.

Booked a private ensuite and big issues. The room is very cold with only a small fan heater with one socket in a corner meaning the room doesn’t get heated - the shower room is so cold. WiFi signal is poor and pretty hopeless for streaming. Basic room with no basic amenities eg clothes rack

Friendly staff. Safe entry. In main candelaria area for restaurants and cafes. Enjoyed the yoga class.

Had the private room with shared bathroom. The room was very small, bed was on the floor, no facilities to unpack bags at all, room was damp, door did not lock properly so did not feel safe to leave valuables.
