Dobri Dom is a beautiful place to stay in the mountain area, surrounded by peaceful views and nature, perfect for a calm and memorable getaway.

The only issue is accessibility during winter. due to the slippery road, cabs don’t come all the way to the hotel, so you need to walk a bit to catch a taxi.

Lovely room with excellent bed & balcony that overlooks the valley. Staff helpful with requests. Breakfast was good quality both days.

Location is tricky to get to, struggled to get a Yandex to take me here/back. Lack of shopping facilities nearby is one to be aware of, bring any food/drink with you in advance. Self catering facilities could be better, no stove/microwave in the chalet so have to ask to use the ones in the house which isn’t an issue as such, but for the price paid shouldn’t be the case that you need to do this. Lunch/Dinner are available as options but at 6500 Tenge each felt expensive. 20000 tenge to use the sauna was also very expensive when considering the room itself is on the pricier side. Not much in the way of leisure provisions or things to do in the local area - so make sure you plan what you want to do in advance.

The location is nice to be away from the City, and there's a nice walk down by the river nearby. The onsite pets, 1 x dog and 3 cats were charming and added to the novelty. The idea of the chalet is nice but I would imagine better in the summer.

The chalet has a lot of potential and a charming setting, especially for guests who enjoy a rustic, mountain-style stay. However, our experience fell short of expectations, particularly as a family, and we feel these issues are important to highlight. Upon arrival, before we had settled in or seen the rooms, the host immediately requested cash payment. While payment is of course expected, the timing felt abrupt and gave an unfortunate first impression. We booked two rooms for our family of five (two adults and three children). The room for our teenage daughters had a non-functioning shower, so they had to use ours, walking outside and down stairs in the cold. Our shower, the only one for five people, had low pressure and inconsistent temperature. The main double bed was extremely creaky, and there were no bedside or reading lights. We also noticed other rooms that would have been better suited for a family, but room allocation didn’t seem well considered. While we appreciate pets being allowed, cleanliness and supervision were lacking. Dog waste remained outside our window on top of the snow for the duration of our stay, and a cat urinated and defecated on a mat in our daughters’ room. We informed the host and placed the mat outside, but it wasn’t cleared for a full day, causing a strong odor. Clearer pet guidelines and oversight would greatly improve the guest experience. The location is challenging without a car, particularly in snow. Several drivers got stuck on the slope, and we had to push and dig gravel to assist. Providing basic tools, wheel-grip mats, and a notice about these conditions would be helpful. With no nearby shops or food delivery options, some guidance or alternatives from the owners would also be appreciated.
