A bit off the Camino del Norte route but not necessarily negative and we knew that when we booked

Everything was perfect... the only thing that would have made it better was if it was closer to the Camino route. But Senora Ana was so kind as to offer to drive me to Markina Xemein in the morning because the buses/taxis were not available on weekends (I stayed Friday night, and left Saturday)

Family run pension. Met with a smile, very friendly. Rooms clean. Kettle and cups in communal area. Was very near two bars. The furthest from the pension did good food and was very welcoming. Very handy for Camino route.

Clean and safe and quiet. Friendly staff !
The location is bad if you’re doing the Camino. You have to wait until 7:10 to catch the first bus into Markina to get back on the trail. There is no grocery store and only one restaurant for dinner that doesn’t open until 8 PM. Tough for a Camino schedule. The WiFi is absolutely terrible.
