Self catering, excellent laundry facilities. Beautiful serene location. Short walk to a hotel for dinner. Great spot to stop for a few days after a busy travel schedule. Easy walk to the Glenfinnan viaduct to watch the train pass over, without the drama of parking.

This was the most fantastic location of entire holiday. We went swimming with our teenage children just outside the house in Loch Shiel, fresh ;-) and incredible views. Truly special place. (With Harry Potter spots & beautiful church just a short walk up the road) . Hosts were very kind and helpful. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen well equipped.
We had everything we needed. Nothing we did not like.

The home amenities provided are useful. The location is quiet and the view is pleasant. The fire place is a nice bonus. It's cosy, clean and the travel advices provided as part of house instructions are beneficial as well. The house is located a bit far from the station as there is a bit of a climb to get to the station/restaurant, but the fact that it is located at a distance, near the loch, it overall enhances the beauty of the view and of the place. We also likes the accurate instructions that were given to us prior to our arrival.
It has not been a pleasant experience while interacting with the hosts themselves, regarding an issue we had with their radiators during our stay, which is quite a shame.
Despite reaching out multiple times, we were not provided with adequate help-
1) The hosts have chosen to operate the radiators from their end instead of allowing the guests to do so. This is a not a very helpful system to begin with. Radiators are for personal use, they should be operated by the people who are occupying that house than the other way around.
2)After the stay, we were told that the radiators did not function due to us turning it off. If this is true, this incident could have been entirely avoided, had manuals been provided to the guests about how to operate these radiators. Even though, the manual mentions not to touch the radiators, we were forced to check the radiators due to them not working from the very beginning. The hosts were informed of this as well. I informed them that I may have turned one of the machines off by mistake and asked them for help. I again sent a message the following day asking them to help and check the radiators. They did not check until we actually left the premises, which is ofcourse not helpful.
3) We also did not appreciate that despite telling the owners that elderly people at the house felt unwell due to the non-functional radiators, they showed no sympathy, instead felt that they communicated defensively which is rather unprofessional.
The house is lovely, but unfortunately if interacting with hosts does not feel warm, welcoming and helpful especially when in need of help, it certainly and undoubtedly impacts the overall experience. I hope they are more approachable and helpful in future (especially while living so close).
