Linh and her family were fantastic hosts. Linh organised our boat cruises, taxis into town and to the national park (her father), as well as our transfers from Haiphong and to Hanoi. The location was peaceful, the accommodation comfortable, with good air conditioning and a hot shower. Breakfast was lovely — my children especially enjoyed the mango and banana pancakes.
We only stayed for three nights out of our 11 in Vietnam and looking back, the only thing we would have done differently would be to spend an extra night on Cat Ba and one less in Ho Chi Minh City.

A great view of the pastures and mountains. We really enjoyed the peaceful environment at the back of the homestay to go running in the mornings. The pool was great to cool off in. Really convenient to have a scooter for rent at the property.
