Ocean Vista Beach Stay

Great location for a big family event in Perth. Lots of space for everyone.

Big house with plenty of space in a wonderful location with plenty of scope for sightseeing and long beach walks, especially ideal for families. As we were travelling as a couple from interstate without any household items, Melissa kindly reimbursed us for a Coffeemachine and Hairdryer not in the household inventory.

The house and fittings are getting in the years, but still great value for money.

Absolutely fabulous location close to the beach with wonderful views from the kitchen, dining and living room windows. We loved watching the kite surfers each afternoon and it was handy to be able to see the ocean to choose when we would go for a swim. Facilities were clean, roomy, very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. It is as you see on the photographs provided. The communication with the owner was exceptional. She got back to me very quickly every time. She even helped me when I accidentally locked myself out!! The house was perfect for my son and I but the house is very big and could easily fit our whole family and extended family too if we wanted to. I would love to stay here again.

There wasn't anything I didn't like but if my elderly parents were staying here, they would struggle with the stairs. Once on the top level, they'd have everything they needed though and wouldn't need to use the stairs again until they wanted to go out to the shops or somewhere. When it gets very windy the manhole lifts a bit and is noisy when it comes down.

The upstairs front room, kitchen and dining area is spacious and contains and air-conditioning unit (a necessity in WA in summer). Melissa the host was communicative, responsive, clear, and friendly in our message/text interactions. It has a good location for safety bay beach access (albeit I never used it...I took it because it was near family and was reasonably priced).

Bedrooms were hot which made sleep difficult (usual thing with Aus rentals...when A/C is mentioned there's usually only one unit in an entire house or appt...which is a bit limited and a little misleading...and I should be hip to this by now). Property showing its age and a little rough here and there, e,g, bathrooms...and one had a leaking toilet (from the fresh water cistern flush). No wifi (but to be fair that's my miss on the rental info page).
