A clean and well-equipped apartment with four rooms, including a kitchen with a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. There is a terrace to sit on with lovely view of the valleys below. The host Namita is very helpful and friendly. A good breakfast is included. It's a short walk to the shops and restaurants on The Mall and not far to The Ridge, the main tourist areas of Shimla.

Very thoughtful host. A nice apartment to have as a base when exploring Shimla. Basic facilities that mean you can prepare food (microwave, kettle and sink). Wet room style bathroom. Convenient location. Would recommend.

My partner and I had been travelling across India for two weeks and, visiting mostly the country's mega-cities, we were looking forward to get away from the hustle and enjoy some piece and quiet in the mountains. Simla is the perfect cities for this, and the Thistle Lodge the most convenient stay - easily reachable without car (10min walk from the train station and another 15min to the citiy center), a wonderful and very inobtrusive host, the most stunning view over the valley and the mountains, and even two bathrooms! We enjoyed our stay very much.
