We loved the peaceful setting in the vast Klein Karoo, it truly felt like a world away. The cottage has been beautifully restored to its original character using authentic materials, while still providing everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It is charming, quaint, and full of character. The night skies were spectacular, with more stars than we have ever seen and the Milky Way shining brilliantly overhead. It was a truly special experience, and we would love to return.
The only downside was that the cottage gets quite cold on winter nights in the Karoo, especially the bathroom. However, that's to be expected in a beautifully restored historic cottage, and it certainly didn't detract from our overall experience.
