Lovely place and would book again

Room location over looking the harbour was very nice and being able to sleep with the window open listening to the sea and wildlife was very soothing.

It was a shame there was no breakfast or dinner options within the Wheelhouse but I guess those run with the tourist season, which is now over. Mevagissey still had plenty to offer in terms of dining options.

Shanty festival in Mevagissey

Very friendly host, nice beer - cheapest in the village - and a hot spot for shanty lovers. The location in the village centre is just perfect. You can hear shanty songs from your window. ⛵ Sea views stunning. Absolutely loved it 😍

Great location, well priced.

Nice room, amazing location. Relatively cheep. If your visiting this town I would recommend The Wheel House. The room was well decorated and surprisingly large. The bed was comfy and the shower was great.

There was no staff interaction, you go inside, get a key from a box, then put it back when you leave. I know for some people this would be a positive but it’s just a stile I don’t like. Also, when you get there theres a notice saying to call one of the owners upon arrival, but when I did they said I didn’t have to despite what the sine said, so it’s either worded wrongly or is outdated.

Great location...fabulous views of the harbour.

Room sooo small. Nowhere to put anything. Tiny ensuite...handbasin too small to wash in...as it is a cloakroom wash hand basin. Again nowhere to put anything in bathroom...no shelving.

Highly recommend!

Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere. Free parking, Lovely and great first impression of apartment. It was clean, very well maintained, stylish, very spacious modern rooms itself was well equipped and comfortable. Wonderful place. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future. Very easy to check in and out. Highly recommend.

A really pleasant stay

Fantastic location, and a lovely little 2 floor apartment that met all our needs.

Driving your car is tricky through the very narrow roads of the port. The parking space provided is on the outskirts of the town, 12m walk, which was fine. Although it is on harbour front, no windows face the harbour unfortunately.

Not very clean. Badly finished… window wedged open with a book, windows very very dirty (couldn’t see out of them) seagull poo on the net curtain. the master bed was very uncomfortable.

Lovely clean room with a view of the harbour. Small but perfect!

Not so great

The view is great

Bathroom is so tiny. The shower was really uncomfortably tiny and you cant get the water temperature right. The electronic geyser is not regulating the temperature or something. The stairs to get to the room was endless. And having luggage that you need to get up there is rediculous. No one was available to help with luggage on a Friday afternoon. The parking is like 2kms away from the accomodation. So you have to walk a lonh way to get to and from your car. Not recommended for children or elderly people.

The location was ex - superb view out window to harbour- literally right next to it. A car park was provided - which we were grateful for but it was a walk-, a we expected. We didn’t take our full bags/ just a few things. Which worked well..

The room was v small- but it was in a very old building so it was expected.. Beautifully appointed.

Bad first impression

Good location, lovely village. Comfy bed.

Entrance from back alley, door was in need of painting. Entrance stairs area was grubby looking. Bathroom small, loo in a corner and had a wonky seat. Loo had a noisy cistern. Bathroom not the cleanest, especially skirting boards and floor corners. No plug in sink. The windows don't close properly and need painting. Overall there was no attention to detail and a big lack of TLC. Such a shame as the location is good. A missed opportunity.

Great location right by the harbour. Spacious - I was booked into a two bed cottage. Great to have a separate living room with a decent TV. Kitchen well equipped. Double bed comfortable.

Entrance way very tired and dingy. Rooms also felt tired. Would have appreciated some tea, coffee and milk - travelling solo, walking the coast path.

Lovely comfortable location with great views

The room was very comfortable. The bed and bedding was lovely. Beautiful views across the harbour.

Our sat nav took us somewhere different to the parking location we were told so we struggled to find the parking initially. The pub was closed which was a shame as it looks lovely and there was no one around. The instructions said a black glass panelled door and the door is blue - once we figured that out it was easy enough to get in. We had large heavy cases as we are travelling and there are narrow stairs so recommend packing light.
