It should have been told that the exterior of the building is under renovation:( No window view:(

The property is an enormous 1930’s classic building with beautiful features, the area we stayed in was on the second floor and consisted of six en suite rooms with a beautiful reception/dining area steeped in history. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful providing us a map of the local area, personally marking sites and places of interest. Property in ideal location for walking around Salerno.

Although the property was beautiful, there are some major renovations ongoing, the entire property is covered with scaffolding and the shared interior boarded up, will be beautiful when finished but after speaking to some locals, we were told the scaffolding has been up for nearly 30 years

The accommodation was very central and room a good size The host was good with assistance bia WhatsApp

I booked a room with a sea view and balcony the whole building was covered in scaffolding and so views were obscured- this was not mentioned beforehand. There was no balcony despite me specifically booking a balcony room and on speaking to the host she said someone else had that room. I especially wanted a view and balcony if they had said we had neither I could have booked a hotel further along the front. My upset is that they were not upfront and offered no solution- the entire building is old and needs renovation and i assume the scaffolding will be there somewhere time so I feel that they should be transparent in the description. I queried with booking.com and they have failed to respond
