Location and staff.
Climbing up and down 52 steps of semi spiral stairs to get in and out of the hotel room.

My wife and I stayed here for three nights, and I would say it was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had in Istanbul. The location is excellent, and the owner and staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was also very, very good.
The hospitality was outstanding. They arranged airport pick-up and drop-off at a very reasonable price, and they also organized tours for us that were quite affordable.
The rooms and toilets were very clean, and everything was perfect throughout our stay. If you are planning to stay in Istanbul, I would highly recommend this hotel. It is definitely one of the best options.

It's got a good common room on the top floor and the location isn't bad. A good place to meet people and make friends.
The kitchen-bar on the ground floor is very dark, and was not serving drinks, so there was not the hostel atmosphere I hoped for. Location is not the best, too touristy and many things overpriced.
