I'm a foreign traveler from the USA and there are minimum basics that I require and am used to. One of them being able to chew my food and not gnaw on it like a farm animal. The only meat I was able to eat and digest was the tilapia. The chicken, cow/beef, and goat meat was extremely tough and barely done. I was thoroughly disappointed and frustrated. The menu is redundant, so not a lot variety there. Basic things like coffee/tea and hot water is only readily available during breakfast hours. Anytime beyond that and you have to knock on the kitchen door and request it, which is off putting. My room: it came equipped with a king sized bed. Not the most comfortable, but it beats sleeping on the floor! The bed frame was make shift.
The remote to my TV barely worked as it was busted/broken when I arrived! I inquired about a replacement 2x and each time I was told it would be addressed. They addressed it alright, the 2nd guy put 2 rubber bands around it and told me he'd be back. NEVER happened!
The mini fridge worked.
The air conditioner worked.
The ceiling fan worked.
The bathroom: the water pressure is very poor. And there's no hot water, just Luke warm water for showering, and you have to push a button for the water to get warm.
Over all, the room was clean and secured. They did accommodate my early arrival/check-in. I didn't have pests in my room and the staff wasn't rude. They weren't overly polite either, but hey.
Now mind you, I was in their version of an executive suite. Which is far from my experience of an executive suite. Different country, culture, and expectations. My biggest gripe is with the quality of meats. I saved all the meats I could not chew/eat/digest to give to someone else who's used to this level of cooking.
Because it ain't me!
