Pont De L'Orme is a beautiful old house in the middle of the French countryside. It's been recently taken over by a lovely young couple from Berlin. They are transforming it into a gastronomic destination, with a beautiful restaurant serving exceptional food and clean, comfortable, well designed rooms that are cosy and calm. There's a small swimming pool in the garden, not the kind of pool you want to plan your holiday around, but perfect for a quick cool off on a hot day. The area surrounding the house is beautiful, and it feels really secluded, despite being near a road. The rooms are all quite close together, it feels like you're staying in a house, not a hotel. But we found the room to be private, spacious, with a super comfortable bed, and a nice big shower. The restaurant is top notch, make sure you make a booking. We went two nights in a row and had a perfect dinner on their lovely terrace. It is clearly going to become a foodie destination. The breakfast, which is included, is also plentiful and great quality, we couldn't have asked for more. It's a great place to base yourself if you're looking to explore the area, or some village hopping. It's an easy drive from Marseille. We'd also recommend the Gorge nearby, which is such a fun day out, walking up a river! There seem to be tonnes of cyclists in the area, and I can't imagine a better stopover for a cyclist on their hols. All in all we had a delightful stay.

Il y a un peu d’attente entre les plats au restaurant, ce qui est surprenant au début mais cela vaut vraiment la peine tellement c’est préparé avec soin !

La literie était confortable et nous avons bien dormi. Le petit-déjeuner était de qualité, varié et agréable. Nous avons également apprécié le calme de l’endroit.
Nous avions réservé une chambre double qui nous plaisait beaucoup sur les photos, mais à notre arrivée, nous avons été « upgradés » vers une autre chambre sans que notre accord soit demandé.
Malheureusement, notre expérience n’a pas été aussi positive qu’espérée : la chambre attribuée nous a paru moins « élégante », avec des finitions moins soignées (meuble abîmé, marques sur les murs, douche dont les thermostats étaient inversés…). La décoration et la vue étaient à notre sens moins agréables que dans la chambre initialement choisie, qui semblait plus lumineuse et chaleureuse. Au final, c’est une petite déception, car notre choix de départ correspondait davantage à nos attentes.
