The location of the hotel was excellent, and the room was exceptionally clean. The beds and pillows were also very comfortable, which made for a pleasant stay overall.
However, my aunt uses a cane, and we were under the impression that the elevator provided access to all floors. Unfortunately, we were not aware that one flight of stairs is required to reach the elevator. This made our early morning departure quite challenging, as we had to carry our luggage down the stairs without assistance.
We made the best of our stay; however, the level of service provided by the hotel staff was disappointing. Interactions with most personnel were marked by a lack of courtesy and professionalism, which was quite unexpected. Although the newest employee was polite, they did not appear to have sufficient knowledge about the hotel or local attractions and were unable to provide meaningful assistance.
Overall, concierge support was effectively nonexistent. This experience was particularly striking in contrast to our time in Porto, where the staff were exceptionally welcoming, attentive, and consistently helpful. Unfortunately, due to our initial interactions, we felt discouraged from seeking further assistance from the hotel staff after the first day.
