Great stay

We had a great time staying at Vallis Rabiosa. Marina was a great hostess and very accommodating. We visited both local restaurants by the harbour. Both great and worth visiting during your stay. We were travelling with friends and were able to have connecting balconies. The sea view was stunning and a pleasure to sit outside and enjoy. Diklo is quiet and a great base for exploring the local area. We had a fantastic time.

Beautiful week

First of what a lovely stay. Marina the host could not do enough for us. Beautiful setting. Zadar is a hidden gem. The pool is small but spotless and the apartment is small but again spotless. The beach and harbor 5 mins away is beautiful and the sea is as clean as it can be. The location is very good. Overall a beautiful week's stay and would return.

A little on the small side. Not a lot of room in the kitchen area. But wouldn't put us off returning as a couple.

Exceeds expectations - super hosts

It was better than we could have hoped for. The apartment was absolutely perfect. It was a mixed family of 6 people in their 30s. The hosts were fantastic and even dropped us in a bottle of wine!! Truly tremendous hosts. The apartment was spotlessly clean and had all the amenities you could want. Location was ideal in relation to Diklo and also so handy for supermarkets and other beaches, just a 20 min uber to Zadar old town for about €18 (this was for an 8 seater taxi). Pool great too. Would highly recommend and personally would book again!

The apartment was very clean well equipped, loved the pool outside shower and seating area. location was 3 miles from Zadar centre but only 5 minute walk from the local shop beach and taverna, where you could get a bus to Zadar. Owners were as nice people you could wish to meet. Thank you we hope to be back.

A great holiday choice

We really liked the apartment – beautiful, modern, spacious, and clean. We stayed as 3 adults and 2 children. All the necessary household utensils were provided. The balcony had a lovely view of the sea. The pool was small but had a very suitable depth for a 5.5-year-old child. The area was clean and always well-maintained. It took about 10 minutes to walk to the sea. Zadar city center is nearby. We were very pleasantly surprised to find a gift left by the door before our departure – a bottle of red wine! Thank you.

The apartment had no shortcomings. Just be aware that there will be mosquitoes, but the hosts had thought of that too, as they left mosquito-repelling devices.

A comfortable studio, which was unfortunately really let down by the hosts responses to any issues

Very nicely presented with a nice outdoor space.

We were really looking forward to our stay, but sadly, a number of issues significantly impacted our experience. From the start, things didn’t run smoothly. The coffee machine wasn’t working, the air conditioning didn’t function as expected, and the kitchen setup was limited. The induction hob in the apartment didn’t work at all—which made preparing a simple dinner for our child unnecessarily difficult. As a last-minute solution, the hosts kindly brought us a single portable hob and replaced the coffee machine. However, the communication that followed was deeply disappointing. We were accused multiple times of “clumsy handling”—including the coffee machine (which didn’t function) and the induction hob, which even the owner couldn’t get to work when they tried it themselves. It was very much an ‘entirely our fault’ approach, and we did not feel like valued guests at all. Instead of acknowledging the inconvenience and impact these issues had on our stay, we were met with a defensive and, frankly, offensive attitude. We felt very let down by Martina’s tone—there was no sense of hospitality, just blame towards us and excuses. As guests, we didn’t come here to be made to feel at fault for things that clearly weren’t working from the start. Even on leaving, we received a very passive aggressive message saying the induction hob was fine (despite the fact the hosts tested it themselves when we reported it l, they also found it wasn’t functioning). On a positive note, the pool was lovely and we appreciated being able to check in early. But overall, the experience lacked care, warmth, and basic readiness. We’re a respectful family who travels often —but this stay left us feeling disappointed and even though the apartment was comfortable, we unfortunately wouldn’t return or recommend due to the communication from the hosts.

Good location, but accommodation a bit disappointing

Location is great near Zadar and the port for island visits. Lovely little pool too. Good customer service.

Poor ventilation in bathrooms so always uncomfortable using them (bad smells, and uncomfortably moist). No waterproofs on things like pillows and mattresses so unhygienic. Also, no dishwasher. Finally, the pull out beds are uncomfortable.

It was not as peaceful as listed due to the amount of guests with young children having only 6 lounges around the pool for 30+guests was not acceptable. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and well looked after. However, the 1 metre distance around the pool was very dangerous and almost impossible to walk around safely with two lounges under the shower. This needs addressing asap for safety and made bigger. Sofa leather bed extremely uncomfortable and the bedroom mattress needs replacing.

Great quiet semi-rural location right on the edge of zadar. Nice little beach in Diklo a short walk(beach in croatia is generally pebbly and rocky there is no sand here and lounging is generally on paved area along the seafront). We had a car but to avoid dealing with traffic and parking there is an hourly bus service from diklo right to zadar centre for 1.70pp that runs until 23:20 so plenty of choice for evenings out.

The pool was lovely with comfortable loungers but there is very little space around the pool for loungers - it would be perfect if just extend the paved area. We didn't have any umbrella / shade on our balcony which was a shame because the view is beautiful but too hot to enjoy it in the midday. We dud enjoy the beautiful sunset view though.

Great for a beach holiday

Really nice clean apartment, working AC, comfy bed, fully equipped kitchen. The pool was kept clean, and the location was very close to the beach.

Wall are very thin, so if you have noisy neighbours (which was the case during my stay) you will hear a lot of noise; also you could hear the bathroom pump of the next door apartment at random times. Location is great for beach, but there are no shops nearby nor is there any way of reaching the property without a car or by taxi, so keep that in mind.

Loved the property, the owner of the property was really kind and the management replied to our requests really fast. The only detail was the shuttle service the management company offers. It was overpriced. We found Uber more useful and cheaper than any taxi.

Relaxing seaside break

The apartment was spacious with a lovely view of the Adriatic Sea. If we had more time we would have loved using the private wood fired oven on the upper patio. All the furnishings were comfy and plentiful. As there were only two of us, and we had been traveling together for a bit already, we really enjoyed each having our own spaces.

Not a dislike, more a forewarning, the apartment is a bit removed from everything and we did enjoy the location for proximity to the sea and being picturesque but, also not easy to get supplies when you don't have a car.

Superb

Property was beautifully presented and had everything and more that you could need. Hot tub and pool were clean and well maintained. We were able to check in early and out an hour late which was great for our flight time.

Long way away from good restaurants and bars or beach needed to get a taxi daily although they weren’t too expensive with Uber or bolt. Bit of an ant problem in the apartment after a few days!

5 min by walk from the sea shore and nearest restaurant. Well kept swimming pool with the barbeque to guests use. Kitchen equipment was exceptional. Big terrace with a view to the sea and the nearest islands. The owners were very helpful. They have their own wine cellar, where you can buy wine of their own production (they were so nice to give us one as a gift).

Air conditioning is in common areas only. It would be nice to have it in bedrooms as well, especially in the upper ones, where it was a bit too hot in July

Great place as basecamp for trips round Zadar. Refreshing clean pool, perfectly working wi-fi and air condition. Super easy comunication with Josip via WhatsApp. I coul really recommend it to anyone.

Good location for exploring Zadar and the rest of Croatia. Lots of shops, restaurants and Zadar town centre are a short drive away but the Apartment is in a nice quiet location so the well cared for pool and gardens meant that our rest days were nice and relaxing. Host was very helpful and happy to recommend restaurants and places to visit locally.

Pleasant self catering apartments close to Zadar and the beaches!

The location was quiet in general. The hosts were quick to respond to any questions or issues. The pool area was very well kept and is a nice alternative to being at the beach. All in all a very pleasant stay not far from Zadar and all the facilities one needs in self catering.

We had difficulty finding the location as we couldnt find the number on the building. But we got there in the end. Our one bedroom apartment could do with repainting but it was fine in general.

super séjour dans cet appartement vue sur le jardin. Un plaisir.

Très bon emplacement près de la plage de Diklo. Très bonne communication avec l'hôte, adorable et pleine de bons conseils. Maison comportant un jardin très spacieux et arboré, piscine dont il est pris grand soin tous les jours, comportant nombre de transats.
