Carefree and relaxing holiday close to good hiking trails and the lake.

Excellent location, very nice swimming pool, friendly host, clean apartment, comprehensive equipment, good bed.

Although the apartment is located by the main road, it did not cause any significant noise, even though we were a bit worried about it beforehand. Unfortunately, however, the sounds from upstairs carried into the apartment too much. Of course, this only happened part of the time, so the adequacy of the soundproofing likely depends on the guests staying upstairs.

Beautiful comfortable stay in a great location!

Everything was amazing, the place itself is massive for two people. The pool is spectacular, there is even a herb garden you can use to cook from. It is a 5 minute walk to the Lenno town for the ferry or villa balbianello. The hosts were so hospitable and informative, sent so much information making everything so easy. You have a bit of a view of the lake from the balcony. Two supermarkets at walking distance. The kitchen was so well stocked with a massive fridge and freezer, made cooking so fun. Value for money as well for the area is really good considering the facilities. Would book here again in a hear beat.

The ONLY tiny thing is that the cobble stones leading up to the property make it hard bring your suitcases up but it’s so minor. The only thing to know is getting to varenna or Bellagio takes a while but the ferry is close and easy to access.

Wonderful apartment with great facilities in perfect Como location managed by a responsive host.

Wonderful! Lovely self-contained apartment with comfortable bed, big living room, nice functional kitchen which is well kitted out for proper cooking, terrace area to sit at in the evening, and well-maintained clean pool & table tennis facilities. Very friendly and responsive host, met us with the keys and showed us around, including showing us a herb garden which we enjoyed using basil from for cooking. Lenno is also a hidden gem to stay in, and the property is well-located near shops, pasticceria and bus routes.

I had an amazing stay at Villa Magnolia! The location was perfect and easy to find, and check‑in was seamless. The apartment was spotless, well-equipped, and the balcony overlooking the lake was the perfect spot to enjoy my morning tea. I didn’t have time to use the pool, but it looked beautiful. The host was very communicative and extremely helpful throughout my stay! She truly went above and beyond. Would stay here again. Highly recommend!

Additional charge for the use of air conditioning is disappointing for a number of reasons. Firstly, we have paid well to stay at the property, a comfortable climate in the villa is expected. Then if it is seen as an additional luxury, other forms of cooling should be available like fans, or the options to use a sheet for sleeping rather than a heavy duvet. Lastly, the road noise from como traffic is terrible all night, which means that you need to close the windows up to actually get any sleep, and the only cool air you can get is from the air conditioning. The extra charge exploits your guests are your villa cannot be used on a warm summer night without it.

Best accommodation of our trip.

One of the most magical places we have stayed. Amazing location, walking distance to bus and ferry stops and the beautiful Lenno town. The people were lovely. Room was huge, we had the whole top floor apartment with a magnificent view. It is the perfect Italian villa. Would stay again in a heart beat.

A brilliant stay.we would like to do it again

The apartment was beautiful and had everything you could wish for. The pool is really lovely. The house is very well situated for going down to the lake, the shops and restaurants and for getting the boats to travel around the lake

The only thing is that it’s on the main road and consequently a bit noisy at the front but that is a minor thing against all the positives.

Excellent stay have already booked for next year

The apartment was fabulous, a little gem of a place. Everything you needed was there. Tastefully decorated, a kitchen home from home, spotlessly clean. There was a hairdryer, also bottles of shampoo and conditioner. Simona the owner was excellent, kept you updated through a what’s app group. The gardens and swimming pool was a delight. I stayed in the top apartment and the view from the little balcony and bedroom was breathtaking. Just cross the road and it takes you down to the lake, where there are restaurants and bars and shops. Even a man made little beach 🏖️ where you can rent a parasol and sun lounger for the day, and it’s got a lovely restaurant and beach bar on it. I flew in from MXP airport, and got the train which is right out side the arrivals to Como, you will have to change at Sorenno and get the train to Como Nord, than a number C10 bus that’s literally across the road from the station, once on the bus it’s about an hours ride but the views of the lake is spectacular. Get off the bus at the Amber bar and the property is literally a minute away, this might seem like a hard task but believe me it’s not, and you will definitely be glad you done it.

There was nothing not to like about the apartment, the property sits on a busy road so if you are a light sleeper take some ear plugs.

Recommend without hesitation

Lenno is an excellent place to base yourself on the lake as it is halfway up and is a stop for the high speed ferry, but not heaving with tourists due to being smaller (unlike Bellagio or Varenna). The villa is a 7 minute walk from the Lenno ferry which is perfect. The villa also has covered parking if you wanted to drive. There is a cafe on the opposite side of the street, and restaurants 2 minutes walk away and a grocery shop 5 minutes away (we loved getting a takeaway pizza and eating it on the shore of the lake). The villa really is a perfect location! Yes, it does have a position on a road with traffic, but this was not a problem for us, there is less traffic at night, and the bedrooms are all at the back of the building away from the road side. We stayed 4 nights and wish we stayed longer! It is a villa made up of 3 apartments and we were on the top floor, meaning that our balcony had a view of the lake <3 We loved the pool and outdoor space, and it is only shared with the other apartments (max 2 other couples). The hospitality was excellent. The villa is not brand new, but it is authentic Italian. Make sure you bring cash to pay the air conditioning charge, and the tourist tax (otherwise there is an ATM right next door at the bank, but will charge international fees). Also if you like hiking/walking, the greenway di Como Lago passes right behind the house and is a beautiful walk through the hills/along lakeside!

Exceptional

Absolutely stunning villa, you feel like you have your own little piece of Como staying at Magnolia. The town of Lenno and the lake are just a step away, and you can walk through the amazing gardens of the Villa Balbianero just across the street. The apartment is a wonderful size with lots of space and a huge kitchen and lounge area. The swimming pool is just brilliant, especially after a hot day walking around the gardens and Lenno, or on the ferry boat in the various towns of Como. Great cafe for breakfasts is literally across the street, and the pizzeria 5 mins walk up the hill should not be missed!! The hosts were absolutely wonderful and friendly, arriving and departing not an issue and parking space is gold! Thanks for a wonderful time!

The wifi was not great but we did not spend a huge time in the apartment needing it, so not an issue for us. Other reviewers had mentioned street noise - you can hear some of the scooters which go by but we slept with basic ear plugs and had no issues, and do not see it as any reason not to stay in this wonderful spot!

Good

This is a lovely apartment, beautifully furnished and tastefully decorated. The living room and kitchen are spacious and both have double aspect windows, providing bright and airy accommodation. The garden is an absolute delight with its many areas for sitting out and relaxing in the shade. We ate in the garden every evening surrounded by greenery, with no one to disturb us.

The noise level from the road below the little balcony was intrusive and almost constant from morning to late in the evening. We had not realised that the house was on the main road along the lake.

Perfect stay for our short trip to Lake Como! Simona was very nice and gave us a lot of recommendations for trips, restaurants, etc. The apartment was very clean, spacious and had a great balcony, perfect for a glas of wine in the evening. Also, the pool is great! Lenno is a nice little city that has a great connection (boat) to places such as Bellagio, Varenna, etc. We had a great time!

Superb

Simona is a charming and energetic hostess. The apartment is very well equipped, tastefully decorated and just a couple of minutes walk to shops, restaurants and the water bus jetty. The garden and pool are the icing on the cake!

The shower is not powerful enough. The living room needs more gentle lighting - a couple of table lamps would make it perfect.

Superb hosts, On arrival Simona and Alessio greeted us both and could not have been more friendly. They showed us the room (which was the whole top floor and spotlessly clean) which had flowers, fresh tomatoes cucumbers, bottle of wine and a pack of spaghetti!! Pool is in it’s own garden with vegetable plot that you can help yourself to, if ripe. Location is great, a 5 minute walk to the lakeside, local supermarket and several restaurants. Would highly recommend this accommodation.

Allt, en vacker lägenhet med en liten fin balkong med sjöutsikt. En fin trädgård med pool o solsängar. Men framförallt hyresvärdinnan som var så hjälpsam med tips som gjorde vår vistelse till en underbar upplevelse.

Sehr freundlicher Empfang und Einweisung; Ort, See und Bootssteg fussläufig gut erreichbar; toller Pool mit ausreichend Liegen; schöne Terrasse. Von Lenno aus ist man mit dem Schiff sehr nahe zu den wichtigsten Orten.

Simona est un amour, ma femme et moi avons adoré l’accueil et la gentillesse de cette dame. L’emplacement est parfait, à 5min à pied des restaurants et du ferry. Parking privé pour votre véhicule et le gros plus est la piscine. Nous avons hâte de revenir !

Apartamento amplio y luminoso, muy bien equipado. Vistas hermosas desde todas las ventanas, el balconcito ideal para desayunar con vista al lago. La pileta y espacios exteriores impecables. La anfitriona Simona muy simpática y servicial

La verdad todo perfecto. Unico dato es que la ruta está pegada y se escucha el tránsito si dejás las ventanas abiertas, al cerrarlas queda insonorizado.
