On a very busy road but set back and traffic noise inaudible from flat which faces other way. Cobbled pathway to centre of Lenno (delightful small town away from road and wonderful views). I found walk challenging but I am partiually disabled. Lakes and mountains stunning but exploreation by ferry a bit difficult sometimes as many, many tourists even in late Sept. Bellagio in particular was heaving. Still, a good holiday and flat better than on 1st sight.

This property was perfect. It is 5 min. from the grocery for fresh bread and supplies, 10-15 to the ferry or restaurants, and the 14 Km Green Path taking you up and down the coast is just 20 feet out the back door. The view from the deck is exactly as pictured. It is filled with sunshine in the morning for coffee and sunrise and shaded in the evening for wine and cheese. The apartment is spacious, sparkling clean, water is hot and bed is perfect. It was a glorious week and a great memory.

We really enjoyed our stay here here in Lenno, the home is close to all amenities including the ferry stop, some excellent restaurants and pizzeria and the Sigma Supermarket (3 minutes by foot) The little beach in front of the home we had completely to ourselves-it's a real, hidden gem! The home is exactly as advertised, spotlessly clean and with a view we never got tired of from the balcony and as the ferry stop is close by we parked our car up at the home for the stay. Lenno, we think, is the perfect location as easy to reach more touristy locations not forgetting the lovely lake front which we enjoyed an afternoon's walk and many an ice cream. A special thank you to Julie and Barrie whose invaluable tips and local insights on where to visit (and where to wine and dine like an italian) ensured we settled in from the minute we arrived. We will definitely recommend the home to our friends and hope to return next year.

Thank you so much Barry and Julie for helping to make our honeymoon at Lenno, Lake Como so amazing;everything from the lovely bottle of Prosecco on our arrival to the spotless apartment with fantastic lake views made this a week to remember. The weather although changeable was kind to us and enabled us to not miss a thing we wanted to do, from kayaking on the lake at Ossucio (Don't forget to take ID or you wont get a boat!) and getting an amazing lakeside view of Villa Balbienello and its gardens, sampling wine at a relatives vineyard www.cantineangelinetta.com at Domaso, north of the lake, to travelling to yet another relative's restaurant Chalet Gabrielle Polentoteca which is situated about 12 kilometers from Bellagio and which serves the most amazing food specific to the locality and has spectacular views of Lake Como and the Swiss Alps. All the food provided a gastronomic delight to the holiday,whether it was smoked fish from the local supplier next to and behind the supermarket, cooked chicken from the market, the delightful meal lakeside at Plinio's or the delicious local ice-cream available at all hours!. Additionally there was nothing quite like the atmosphere in the local bar watching the Italian's defeated by Uruguay in the world cup although personally I think Louis Suares should have been sent off for making an Italian player a gastronomic delight! However a number of Limoncello's tempered my view on this!
All in all a holiday to savor in every way. Thank you Barry and Julie. We will be recommending you to our friends!
PS the museum in Dongo is well worth a visit with an excellent commentary on the role of the Italian Resistance in the 2nd world war and its involvement with the capture and execution of Benito Mussolini......Lots of the action was around Garzeno, from where my family name comes....
