Ferndale Cottage Devon

The cottage was beautiful and had a really lovely feel from outside and in. Very picturesque. The inside was beautifully decorated with a real country feel which is just what we wanted for our family holiday, the kitchen had everything we needed, the garden was lovely with a beautiful running stream. The beds - I haven't slept that well in years. It's on a quiet road with a very nice pub opposite, parking is on road and we had no problems during our stay. The hosts were fantastic, offering great recommendations, Lego for the little ones was brilliant, late check out as an option was so thoughtful. The hosts as well as the neighbours went above and beyond to retrieve my son's croc from the stream! They were really friendly, accommodating and always able to get in touch with. Really friendly little village - we popped into the pub once and everyone was welcoming and cheerful. We loved looking out for the bats in the garden during the evenings, not something we get in London that's for sure! We look forward to returning in June for my birthday and hopefully this time all shoes will be kept out of the stream! Thank you so much for having us!

The property was in a good location and was pleasant for our two night stay.

Garden not secure for our dogs and it was quite dusty and not as maintained as well as other properties we have stayed in.
