Great location opposite Kielder Castle and lots of walks directly from the cottage. Dog friendly. Loads of birds and red squirrels in the garden. Cottage was excellent - luxurious, well-appointed, had everything we needed.
Bedroom was rather too warm for us with underfloor heating and no opening window, just French doors. Perhaps the preset temperature in there could be a bit lower than 22deg.

The underfloor heating, real fire, washer & dryer, dishwasher...everything really. The cottage is really beautiful and very nicely decorated, it is very clean but also very warm and welcoming. Very traditional looking but it has all the modern amenities you will need. Felt like you were in your own little world and a very cosy, comfy world at that.
Nothing we disliked at all about the accommodation but if you visit you need to be able to drive to get to a shop or pub etc. However, I would think any visitor would/should already acknowledge that.

Everything was exactly as described, the information sent by email beforehand was great to be able to locate how to get in and where to park. Superbly equipped with walking and biking trails on your doorstep and dark skies for looking at the stars. Thanks for an amazing home from home that was truly dog friendly ❤️
Getting eaten alive by the midges!!! But that's not the cottages fault!
