Ein Träumchen, liebevoll gestaltet bis ins letzte Detail, wir waren begeistert. Wir wurden aufs freundlichste umsorgt. Das Frühstück ebenfalls bestens.

The design and refurbishment of this house was superb, the wooden paneled breakfast room made a lovely start to the morning. It was convenient for Colditz Castle just 10 minutes drive away which allowed us to have a leisurely morning. The building is in a quiet river valley - the Mulde, this looked good for cycling too and if you were doing a long distance ride, the place has a Sauna. It is next to a a former DDR factory which is still working but very quiet in the valley. The house in a remote location but you could easily cater for yourself and there is a vending machine. One of the other families had been to the local supermarket and set themselves up a BBQ on the nice lawn.

I do like meeting a person, and in the morning there was one, but the early evening slot would have been good too. There was a problem to solve and the lady on the phone did solve it very promptly. So that is also a bonus. The information could be in advance on the message so if you arrive late you can respond. It was summer Monday and many restaurants were closed. It didnt matter because we had a lunch that day and was able to have a picnic on the lawn or we could have stayed in the room.

Staff are too rigid and inflexible. Don’t serve customers with options. Very stiff German service 😕
