Pros: * Very friendly and welcoming host who even offered to pick me up and drive me to the accommodation. * Good location with easy access to the city. * Fairly priced by Italian standards, although accommodation in Italy is generally quite expensive. * Breakfast was included.

Cons: * There is no air conditioning, only a fan, which wasn’t ideal during the warmer days. * The breakfast was fairly basic. Like many accommodations in Italy, most items were individually packaged, so there were very few fresh options. * The property could benefit from some renovations, and the bathroom in particular would need a more thorough cleaning. * The WiFi was quite poor. It was only reasonably reliable in the kitchen and barely usable in the room.

Pippo was welcoming and showed me all the facilities, explaining where to find everything. He was also concerned that I was happy with the room and that I had everything I needed..

Breakfast was limited, no cereal or fruit, though I understood why, if there's no one on site to consider that.

The room was clean. The shared kitchen had dishes and a refrigerator. The bed was clean. The hotel is close to bus and train stations and to Ragusa Ibla.

The room was incredibly cold and damp, like a basement. There was no air conditioning. The radiator only worked from 6 PM to 11 PM and for a couple of hours in the morning. The radiator wasn't hot, just lukewarm, and wasn't hot enough to warm the room. The owner explained that Russia somehow prevented him from heating the room (I often travel to Italy and have never heard such cold and such an excuse). There was a lot of mold on the walls near the window-door. The window-door looks out onto a dark courtyard. The bed is very narrow. Breakfast consists of packaged cookies and jam. You have to make your own coffee, but no one showed you how to use the coffee machine.
