The house is very well decorated. Well situated near the centre of Stranraer. The breakfast was very good. The room was large. What surprised me the most is how acomodating Brendan was for the time for breakfast. I asked from 7:30 and this was not problem despite the fact this was the day we changed the clock to the summer time.

Brendan was incredibly welcoming and accommodating and took the time to show me to my room and explain the facilities. The guest house is in a great location, with nothing between the house and the waterfront but a very quiet, small, dead-end road. There's a lovely walk along the coast in either direction directly from the house (one taking you into the town centre about 10 mins walk, the other direction heads away from the town). The guest house has excellent off street parking right on-site, which felt very safe and I had no concerns at all leaving my motorcycle parked there. My room was warm, spacious and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay (the fresh milk for tea/coffee was a lovely touch, as were the Biscoff cookies!!). Brendan's cooked breakfast was delicious and I could not fault it at all.
Just something to be aware of - there isn't a load of sound insulation between the rooms, so you do need to keep other guests in mind with noise levels. But apart from that small consideration, there's really nothing negative to report at all.
