A great traditional stay close to the old city center. The hosts were all extremely friendly and accommodating; they even wrote a farewell note in our language when they learned where we were from. The water in the on-site onsen was absolutely scorching hot, an amazing relaxing experience.
The room was on a smaller side with pretty thin futons and tough pillows. Also, be prepared for a shared toilet.

Great location and staff very kind and helpful despite not being able to speak English
I struggle sleeping on tatami and the pillow was small so I didn't sleep very well but everything else made up for it including the price 😌

It’s a lovely old fashioned Japanese inn with a hint of an American motel. The staff speak almost no English but are super friendly. Tatami beds and traditional style bath area including pool with water from what looks like a spring.
