Well located to see Florence, Prato and other interesting places close by. But Montelupo Fiorentino is also a charming small town with lovely restaurants and bars. Nicely equipped with furniture, a pool has a lovely view. Very good contact with the owner.
Lack of air conditioning is a challenge during hot nights but luckily fans are on the spot.

This self-catering apartment is set in the hills above Capraia (no good putting Montelupo into your satnav) accessed by winding roads that give onto tracks. Rather bizarrely, there is a very good restaurant a few hundred metres farther on. For everything else, you need to drive (or walk) to Capraia and cross the bridge to Montelupo. We liked this remote location and the views across to the hills of Chianti are impressive.
Francesca breeds dogs. Mostly they are well behaved but they can get a bit noisy when they're excited and occasionally enjoy a night-time bark-off with their neighbours.

The property itself was spacious and comfortable with high ceilings and very rustic which was lovely. The bedrooms are lovely sized and felt nice and relaxed, the beds were clean and comfortable, no air conditioning but large fans were in the rooms. Great views of the countryside when we woke up on the morning.
The swimming pool was out of use which put a damper on our stay but the owner refunded us accordingly which was helpful. Parking was a little difficult in a Motorhome due to the drive way being very bumpy/ uneven and steep towards the house but would be fine in a car. The front of the property could have had a little more love given to tidy the area up and make it feel more comfortable to sunbathe and chill out, BBQ area looked run down. We only stayed the one night instead of the 3 nights due to the fact the pool was closed and our intentions were to chill out for the few days by the pool. The host was very helpful and kind.
