Villa Caruso with Private Pool

Location, standard and the local hosts for the villa were excellent. Mario and Carmine were great hosts and looked after us very well. We rented the downstairs part of the villa only with two bedrooms and the facilities were a really good size, very well kept and kitted out and had stunning views over Sorrento, the Bay of Napes and Vesuvius. Be aware that there is an upper floor to the villa that can be rented out separately as a single bedroom but there was no one it it whilst we were there and we had use of the entire facility other than the upper floor apartment.

The size, use and cost of the “pool” facility needs to be made much clearer on any advertising websites. The description of the property says that it has a pool but doesn’t mention the size or have a picture of it. It is in effect a big jacuzzi rather than a pool and doesn’t come for free unless you book the entire property, including the 3rd room on the upper floor. The size of the pool is also not suitable for children to play in and is more suited to adults relaxing. We specifically asked a question before travelling about whether the pool was included in the price if we only rented the bottom floor of the villa and were told yes. However, on arrival we were politely informed that if we wanted to use the pool it would cost us 50 Euros a day, which is extortionate given the size! Luckily, our host honoured the commitment made before we travelled and did not charge us for its use. However, the size, policy, use and cost of the pool needs to be made a lot clearer.

Everything is spectacular! Host was friendly and always available to help. He offered us food and help going up the hill. The villa itself is in good condition with spacious bedrooms, clean bathrooms, nice gardens and a decent kitchen. Owning the panorama of Sorrento, everything worthies the price. Villa location was half up hill, easy access via taxi or local bus, so never try to pull luggages uphill yourself🤣 Definitely a 5-star airbnb🥰❤️

MAGNIFICENT VIEW (just like the photos or better) and the place is well appointed (real beautiful furniture, not ikea stuff). Great water pressure as hot water thought shower is small (not for plus size). Host is very communicative.

This is not a place for elderly folk unless you are willing and able to drive a car all the way up the mountain/hill and/or hire a private care service for the entire time you are here. Bus doesn’t come super often and you still have to go up-down steep slopes for a small bit to get to/from the bus stop. It is incredibly difficult to drive up the hill all the way unless you are used to driving in narrow ways where your car mirrors are almost touching the sides. Grocery service not available year-round so check with host before you book. We worked around all the problems so it was still a fantastic stay and worth it!

Amazing view, very comfortable and well equipped villa; the host was great and supported us in everything we needed.

Consider there are lots of stairs to get in, not suitable for everyone; also- There was bo coffee machine in the villa and since there is no coffee shop available nearby, it was needed
