I arrived after dark there were no lights at the road so it's hard to spot the property but they do offer free shuttle that I didn't use. I called the number and he explained the way to me.

the host was very friendly and caring. The breakfast was outstanding! Facility was clean, and they have extra blankets in case you get cold. Can’t recommend this place enough.

This stay had good, bad, and ugly things to it. I will start with good things so that the owners can keep it up and then the bad and ugly things that they really need to improve on. I live in the Netherlands and made a reservation for my family in Sri Lanka. I hope my review would help travelers to make informed decisions about where to stay and the host how to improve as they are in the hospitality industry. The place was very clean. The location was ok too. The booking process was smooth and they did not even ask for a prepayment ( probably because I booked with Booking.com and I always have maintained a good profile as a traveler . ) Since the place couldn’t be located on Google Maps, the host helped to find it , which is admirable. There was a kitchen which is a nice feature. They allowed my family to use it and gave them spices and some utensils. That is appreciable. Because they did not provide any meals even though they advertised the final price including breakfast. The good thing is that apparently, they have now corrected the misleading advertising that says meals are included in the final price. The host's father lives on the property, and he has been helpful and polite. In the next section, I will explain why I decided to give a low score overall to be transparent.

I don't like to give low ratings to small businesses. If you are in the hospitality industry, be considerate and polite in your communication with your guests. Please, at least do apologize if there was a mistake from your side without threatening. I understand that Sri Lanka is going through a difficult time. However, the only way out of that crisis is by providing good service to the guests. So I am going to put my honest review so that it helps other travelers. Here are the bad and ugly parts of this stay : Bad: I booked this place as they advertised this as breakfast included in the final price. All the receipts I got via booking.com claim meal service is included. We could have booked a better place for the price we paid for this reservation. There are major of people having breakfast featured in advertising on Booking.com and good reviews on the meals were convincing to book this place. Thus, Inaccurate advertising is misleading here. The place did not have any heaters. Ugly : This was the worst part. The host said the breakfast is not included after my family checked in. They did not apologize for their false advertising but passed the blame to the customer with no hesitation. That was rude and very unprofessional behaviour from a host. The communication received from the host was rude, consisted of false facts (about the price and communication with my sister ), and was extremely unprofessional. The host sent me indirectly threatening messages saying that they would ask my family to leave the place just because I tried to contact customer support. My family included little children and it was in the middle of the evening. So the host knew that we could not find an alternative at that time. Still, they sent me messages saying that they will cancel the reservation and ask my family to leave. That’s the extremely rude and the most inhuman part of this stay.
