A Casa Da Mami

We had a wonderful stay and couldn’t have asked for better hosts. We stayed in a master bedroom, own bathroom inside. Our room was non-smoking, very clean, comfortable, like a home away from home. Please note that you might not be the only guests in the house, there are other rooms with BNB guests and you might meet for breakfast. We didn’t mind at all, since we were leaving the house just after breakfast and coming back before midnight for sleep. Our hosts Mirella and Marzia were very warm and friendly, and the breakfast offered was delicious. They also offer laundry service at an additional (affordable) cost, which was very convenient, since we left our vacation with clean, nicely folded clothes. Marzia informed us about some train disruptions on the day of our travel - which we had no idea about - and assisted us in booking bus tickets to the airport, which was even more convenient. The location is very good, in the heart of Piano di Sorrento, with a lot of restaurants, shops, grocery, pharmacies around, walking distance to the train and the bus stations. We’re very grateful for everything and definitely recommend!

Nothing negative about the property. Would recommend however, if you’re visiting in high season (July-August) or weekends, allocate extra 20 min for the city bus to reach Sorrento and take the train or other buses that leave towards other cities from there. They also stop in Piano station, however they are almost always full when arrive, and if the buses are full, they don’t even stop when waved down.

Good location close to train station (Piano di Sorrento) and the city center of the same village. More authentic experience than Sorrento where you hardly hear Italian and prices are much higher. You get prompt answers from the hosts and they try to make your arrival as smooth as possible (detailed description how to get to accommodation). Late check out was possible.

Next time we book again a room with direct access to a bathroom, which is for organization reasons much easier. Breakfast was good, but nothing extraordinary (croissants packed in plastic, unless other places nothing typical from the area like cake or other sweets). On the last day, coffee was unfortunately cold when we arrived. Make sure to have 20 cent coins which you will need if you plan to take the elevator.
