This property surprises on every level.
We had the privilege to stay in ‘Oppiduine’ Room 4 - the Superior Suite and enjoyed absolutely everything.
When you arrive at Grootvlei Guest Farm to book in and get the keys for your accommodation you enter the main guesthouse, from which you can also choose from several rooms to book as well.
At this main house the delicious food is served daily - the breakfasts are exceptional and there is a menu for lunch as well (and we where served with this lunch menu as dinner upon request, thank you again).
Then you drive a short distance to the magnificent ‘Oppiduine’ building with a shell-themed ambience throughout.
It is absolutely an amazing experience to stay in this accommodation with the magnificent sea views and West-coast quietness all around you.
There are 3 other rooms to choose from in ‘Oppiduine’ with a beautiful commune kitchen, living area, dining area and outside braai with sea view all around.
…and to top it all, there is a pretty open air chapel right on the beach.

The family suite was large and comfortable.
A fully operational kichen to make tea or entertain your guests / friends.
The king size beds were very comfortable.
The front and back verandah is a good idea.
Various accomodation types on site.
Short walk to the beach and only a short drive from Muisbosskerm Restaurant.

It’s handy for if you have a wedding in Lamberts Bay.
The breakfast was good. The gardens are pretty. They were kind enough to let us check in early.
The bed and pillows were uncomfortable. It’s very dated. The staff at breakfast were unfriendly. Hardly any internet reception and the voucher for WiFi was finished in the hour.
