Newlands Bed and Breakfast

Highly Recommend! My husband and I stayed at Newlands Bed and Breakfast for two nights (Feb 19-21), and it was a wonderful experience. The hosts, Christine and Andrew, are such a warm and welcoming couple. We even bought some fresh eggs from their own chickens—they were delicious! The location is convenient, about 20 minutes from the airport. Since we had an early flight at 8:00 AM on the 21st, we used their airport transfer service. Andrew was kind enough to wake up around 5-6 AM to drive us and even helped with all our heavy luggage. He got us to the airport safely and on time. It was a truly pleasant stay, and we couldn't have asked for better hosts!

Loved the bath and robe! Which was the main purpose for our stay, as I have two showers. So relaxing room was excellent. Will probably be back for a soak again! Christine was lovely.

The location was good for us

We booked the deluxe room, which was described as having a private bathroom with a bath. When we arrived, the bathroom didn’t seem to be private and was also being used by others. It wasn’t a major issue for us, but it was a little different from what we expected based on the room description. The house itself is beautiful, and the host was lovely and welcoming. The living area was quite cold during our stay, and we were advised the fireplace couldn’t be used as it needed sweeping. A heater was kindly offered, which we appreciated, but we had already started making dinner and decided to carry on as we were. The bathroom also had some hair left from shaving, which was easy enough to clean up. We didn’t mention these things at the time as we were tired from travelling and didn’t want to make a fuss. Overall, it’s a lovely place and would suit a short overnight stay well.
