The host was wonderful and super friendly but did not impose, parking was great and the room was spotless. There is a balcony with lovely views and a small table where you can sit and enjoy the views. Breakfast was great, it was really nice to have breakfast with the other guests and get a chance to chat. I would love to come back and stay longer. The bed was incredibly comfortable!
If you are not driving then it it a bit of a walk to other parts of Kaikoura ( the seal colony etc..) It is a house so if you have mobility issues ask to stay on the ground floor.
