Great stay near Meteora, great views and cool facilities.

Location is easy to reach by car, somewhat quiet area, close to the center (by car) and convenient in general. All the facilities were working great, really nothing else to wish for. The hosts made our stay as good as they could.

Two minor things: the house is located on a large and not very picturesque street (but that was expected). And the shower is actually a sitting bath, but the shower column (which is great) is fixed to the wall, so for some of the people the stream's too high (and they have to step up to the narrow seat of the bath) and for some it's OK :) I'd make this into a regular shower, that would be easier to work with.

Lovely Meteora Home is a home away from home!

We had an amazing stay and truly didn’t want to leave! The apartment was spotless, spacious, and extremely well-organized. Everything we needed was thoughtfully provided. It’s perfect for 5–6 people. The comfortable pull-out couch can easily accommodate two kids, making it ideal for families. The location is perfect, just a few minutes’ walk to the city center, with parking available right in front of the building. From the moment we arrived, we felt the warmth of true Greek hospitality. The host was kind, responsive, and accommodating. She also generously stocked the fridge with eggs, toast bread, ham, and cheese for breakfast. To top it all off, the view from the balcony was outstanding! We highly recommend this place and hope to return one day!

Fantastic location, thoughtful host

This is a continuation of a review from yesterday which I sent accidentally before completing it. We stayed 4 nights in mid-March 2025. The apartment is on the outer edge of Kalambaka old town and is accessible by wide stairs up 1 story from the ground. We received clear instructions on finding and accessing the apartment; parking was on street and easy during our stay. There’s a children’s park right in front of the property which would be good for families traveling with kids. There are balconies in front and back of the unit. The balcony in front (off the kitchen) faces the main road and is exposed to passersby but the balcony in the back (off the bedrooms) was private. As others have noted, the first impression was a bit sketchy as the home’s 3 abutting neighbors were all partially completed homes that gave an impression of being abandoned. As it turned out, the location is perfectly safe and is the apartment’s greatest strength in our final analysis. During our stay, we hired Meteora Phototours for a private guided photography tour to show us the best photo spots, hiking trails, and lessons in techniques and photo composition. Our guide grew up in this neighborhood and his parents still live right around the corner from the apartment and he assured us the neighborhood is perfectly safe so do not be put off by this first impression. The apartment is clean and the heating was responsive and the hot water quick and reliable. The host cheered up the space with fresh flowers. The beds and couches were very comfortable, kitchen is well amenitized, and there’s a fantastic washer/dryer combo. Given the unpredictability of March weather in Meteora where rains could make your clothes muddy and slow to dry, having an effective washer and dryer was very helpful. The kind hostess provided bread, ham, cheese, eggs, jam and butter, coffee and tea, as well as yummy KitKat style chocolate covered wafer candy bars for snacking.

The only thing of note is the tub/shower combination. While the spray is strong and the temperature consistent, the tub is probably under 4’ wide with a built in raised seat. This reduced the space where you can comfortably stand to get a shower. We slipped a couple of times both during the shower and upon exiting the tall tub after our shower on our first night but eventually we adapted.

Beautiful view, close to taverns and walking path, warm and cozy

Thank you for such a lovely stay! The apartment was very clean, warm and had everything needed to prepare a breakfast, make a coffee and enjoy the evening. The host shared the directions to have an easy access, self check in and free breakfast. Totally recommend🙂

Convenient, spacious place to stay for visiting Meteora

A lovely apartment in Kalambaka, a short walk away from many restaurants, cafes, and shops. The apartment has a large balcony with a beautiful view to the Meteora rocks – from the balcony you can spot a couple monasteries in the distance. The apartment is quite spacious, with two bedrooms, a large kitchen and living room area, a second balcony overlooking a garden, and a bathroom with shower and washing machine. The washing machine (which also functions as a dryer) was really nice to have. Even though we arrived late, check-in was easy, and the host greeted us with homemade lemonade, and left a carafe of wine in the fridge. Parking on the street was easy. There is a large jasmine plant growing on the house beneath the balcony, so breakfast on the balcony smelled heavenly. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Meteora.

Very comfortable and clean flat, good location and very nice view from the balcony. We had a hire car and could park right in front of the house. We were a family of two adults and two children, the double room and the room with bunk beds worked very well for us.

Amazing location!

The apartment has an amazing view. From the balcony you can see the Meteora and one monastery. Perfect 👍! The host was lovely: brought fresh lemonade when we arrived, and cakes next day. In the fridge We found food for breakfast. Highly recommend!

This was a great place to stay for our family. Bunk beds for the kids, a small playground and a beautiful view from the balcony. There was food for breakfast in the fridge when we arrived as well as some homemade wine. Communication with the owner was easy we had very clear instructions on how to get inside. The location was perfect for getting into the town for dinner as well as visiting the monasteries of Meteora. Truly a lovely place to stay!

Awesome

There is a spectacular view from the porch. Fresh flowers on the tables when we arrived made the place smell wonderful and made us feel very welcome. The place is close to everything in Kalabaka, and parking right in front makes it even more awesome. Our only quibble was the shower, in that it was hard to hang the shower head on the wall.

Maybe some less sheer curtains for a bit of privacy?

J’ai adoré l’appartement. Pour moi c’est un 11/10! La vue sur les météores sur une chouette petite terrasse, le calme car retiré du centre de Kalabaka. Une propreté remarquable. Lits super confortable. Et alors les hôtes qui sont adorables, très réactifs, aux pts soins et reçu avec un petit déjeuné ❤️ ça c’est la Grèce 💙🇬🇷🥰 un énorme merci, je recommande à 2000%

Ξεκούραστη και απολαυστική διαμονή στο Lovely Meteora Home.

Περάσαμε τρεις υπέροχες μέρες στο Lovely Meteora Home. Το κατάλυμα ήταν πολύ ευρύχωρο για μια τετραμελή οικογένεια. Και οι δύο κρεβατοκάμαρες είχαν ντουλάπες (με extra κουβέρτες) και θέα τους βράχους των Μετεώρων. Άνετα κρεβάτια, τέλεια στρώματα. Το μπαλκόνι, αν και δεν το χρησιμοποιήσαμε λόγω κρύου, ήταν εξοπλισμένο με τραπεζάκι, καρέκλες και την υπέροχη κούνια που φαίνεται και στις φωτογραφίες του καταλύματος. Η επιπλωμένη κουζίνα τα είχε όλα, φρυγανιέρα, βραστήρα, τοστιέρα, φούρνο με εστίες και απορροφητήρα, πιάτα, ποτήρια, κούπες και όλα τα μαγειρικά σκεύη, ιδανικό μίξερ χειρός για τον φραπέ, μεγάλο ψυγείο (το οποίο είχε ένα μπουκάλι κρασί, κρύο νερό και.... το πρωινό μας το οποίο ήταν μια ευχάριστη έκπληξη για εμάς) και πολλά άλλα (σφουγγάρι και απορρυπαντικό για τα πιάτα, αλάτι, πιπέρι, ζάχαρη, λάδι, καφέ κλπ.). Το σαλόνι που ήταν στον ίδιο χώρο με την κουζίνα, έχει ένα μεγάλο καναπέ σε σχήμα Γάμα και την smart tv. Το μπάνιο πεντακάθαρο, εξοπλισμένο με μεγάλο πλυντήριο, καθαριστικά, άνετα ντουλάπια και μια σύγχρονη μπανιέρα μαζί με το αφρόλουτρο και το σαμπουάν του, πάντα με έτοιμο ζεστό νερό. Όσο για την θέρμανση τόσο το καλοριφέρ όσο και τα δύο air-condition, μας βοήθησαν να είμαστε πολύ ζεστά, ιδιαίτερα τα κρύα βράδια που η θερμοκρασία ήταν κοντά στους 0 βαθμούς Κελσίου. Με τόσα πολλά τι άλλο να ζητήσεις από το κατάλυμα; Η φιλοξενία της οικοδέσποινας ήταν διακριτική, και μας έδειξε με τα κεράσματά της πόσο πολύ ενδιαφέρεται για τους καλεσμένους της. Ακόμα και δεντράκι στολισμένο είχαμε λόγω εορτών!!! Σε γενικές γραμμές με άριστα το 10 παίρνει άνετα 11. Υ.Γ. για την Booking.com. Εδώ και πάνω από μια δεκαετία που την εμπιστευόμαστε, όσα καταλύματα έχουν πολύ υψηλή βαθμολογία από τους χρήστες είναι εγγύηση. Ευχαριστίες πολλές και Συγχαρητήρια!!!

Δεν μας έλειψε τίποτα. Δεν θα μπορούσε άλλωστε. Εξάλλου τα Lidl της Καλαμπάκας είναι στα 3 λεπτά με το αυτοκίνητο.
