Friendly, welcoming manager kindly advised for me the best route to the event which I travelled to Leipzig for. I didn't even have to ask. The hotel was partially old-fashioned in a good way. Easy access from Hbf by tram and a lovely area overall. The surprise room upgrade didn't hurt, of course.
It was quite hot inside which affected sleep quality, but summer is summer so what can one do, really.
