The house and the owners

Location not reachable by conventional car. Small narrow cars are recommended. In gener parking is not managed and organised in the area. It is not even first come first serve. Some times visitors park across multiple parking spots to reserve for other guests. One would need to climb the steap narrow streets with all belongigs. Owners offer to transport your belongings on arrival/departure. Owners ate very corteous, polite and friendly. I would not recommend it for elderly ppl. as they would need to climb the steep streets.

The house is a traditional Macedonian village house. It's in great condition and surrounded by nature. We loved it. Others may have some issues to deal with. First, it's the last house in the village...a LONG, STEEP walk uphill from the square. The cobbled road does reach the house, but we never even attempted to bring our car up; the street is astonishingly steep and narrow. Second, the stairs to the upper floor might be difficult if you have balance or leg problems. However, the environment is spectacular, and Babis is a wonderful, very welcoming host. If you like this kind of vacation, you will enjoy Rhodia House.

A couple of minor issues bear mentioning. The bath/shower wasn't working very well during part of our stay, and the water pressure was occasionally very low. Host Babis was very responsive and brought by some replacement shower parts, which helped. Also, the sitting room could be more comfortably furnished. The hosts have maximized sleeping accommodations by placing beds instead of chairs, which doesn't make the room comfortable to sit in. But we spent most of our time outside, anyway.

Being a traditional village, the downside is that you cannot bring the car to the house, the streets are very narrow so you have to park it a bit further
