A wonderful cottage with lovely hosts

What can I say! The fridge contained excellent bacon from a local butchers, locally sourced eggs, homemade bread and marmalade, fresh butter - honestly the best breakfast I've ever experienced being away (and we've been to a lot of places around the world). The accomodation was spacious, with a river to the back, a lovely garden and outside seating area. Washing machine, dishwasher, hob, oven, all the utensils we needed. And the host, Dusty met us upon arrival and was friendly, warm and a pleasure to meet (we didn't get chance to see Ros unfortunately, but I'm going to assume that she is equally as nice). A wonderful location, peaceful and perfect for relaxing or exploring Snowdonia.

To be perfectly honest, there wasn't anything we didn't like.

Lovely cottage with the most perfect host

The location was perfect. The cottage is situated in a lovely quiet area and it has a great amount of space. Everything we needed was there. The host was really lovely and left us fresh bread, bacon, milk & butter, such a nice touch.

We found the beds and sofas to be uncomfortable but that’s just our preference.

Great property ideally located for an adventurous weekend in North Wales

Clean, fresh and well located for our planned activities. Breakfast basket for our arrival was superb! Hosts were located close by and were very helpful and friendly.

Lovely area,cottage ideal for long weekend .

The area ,lovely garden . Beds very comfortable . Fire made it lovely and warm . Appreciated the eggs,bacon ,butter and bread left for us for breakfast . Beautiful to be able to watch the birds and listen to the river running at the bottom of the garden . Very peaceful but close to amenities. Great directions from host and very accommodating with our unexpected late arrival .

Bathroom very tired and in need of maintenance and update .Shower floods the floor drain doesn’t appear to to work efficiently,no bath mat so you had to put down towels on the floor . Made it difficult not to walk wet foot prints through property . Towels very hard and rough ,like cardboard ,couldn’t use them ! Tried to use washing line to dry clothing and it was all tangled up.Couldn’t even open it .Pegs still tangled in it .

Home from home

The location is perfect for visiting Bala lake. It’s also not far from Llanberis (about an hour drive), the start of llanberis pass to the Copa Summit of Snowdon. Cookware and cutlery for self-catering are sufficient. Comfy beds. Beautiful garden with apple and cherry trees. We enjoyed sunbath sitting on the patio, so chill. complimentary eggs, bacon, home-made bread, milk and butter for breakfast. Dusty the host is so friendly and kind.

Great cottage stay in Snowdonia

1. Cottage is located next to the river so when you are out on the terrace or sleeping in double bedroom you can hear the sound of water which is charming. 2. Free welcome breakfast (eggs, bacon, bread) was provided by hosts and it was an opportunity to buy extra eggs later if required. 3. Hosts were really friendly when we met them during the check-in process.

Overall level of cottage clearness could be better, but it is okay.

Quiet location. Lovely gardens. parking on site. cosy and warm.

No smoking rooms are acceptable. when reading the welcome pack we realised that the host included no smoking in the grounds. This wasent stated in the advert by Booking.com. we would not have booked knowing that was the case

Comfortable and homely cottage - ideally located for seeing the best that Snowdonia has to offer. Lovely garden, off road parking and warm, welcoming hosts. Oh, and complimentary breakfast supplies including fresh eggs from resident hens - very much appreciated!
