Chalet Mechka

Chalet Mechka is a perfect winter retreat! The location is stunning, surrounded by breathtaking snowy landscapes, making it feel like a true alpine escape. The chalet itself is beautifully designed, warm, and cozy, with spacious rooms and large windows that offer fantastic views of the mountains. The living area is comfortable, with a fireplace that adds to the charming atmosphere. The kitchen is well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals, and the overall cleanliness of the property was impressive. The hosts were incredibly helpful and responsive, ensuring a smooth and pleasant stay.

There wasn’t much to dislike! If I had to mention something, it would be that the road leading to the chalet can be tricky in heavy snow, so having a 4x4 vehicle or snow chains is advisable. They do however clear the road as soon as they can and offer a shuttle bus. Other than that, everything was fantastic!

Just got back from a wonderful break at Chalet Mechka. It was a last minute booking for us, as we usually go skiing to France. Due to the French borders closing we booked Joanna's chalet and we were so glad we did. She was amazing from start to finish. She answered all questions I had before we left even though she was on holiday there herself! The chalet complex was small but lovely, all staff couldn't do enough to help. Shuttle service was easy and on time, swimming pool and jacuzzi in the main building was great for adult and children after a day in the snow. We rented our skis from Albena ski depot. They also have a babysitting service and ski lessons. The lady that ran the babysitting was amazing and the people in the shop were great. It's right next to the slopes and you leave your skiis there after your day of skiing so you don't have to bring them back on the shuttle. We tried the food at the resturant on site and we didn't have the best meal so didn't ear there again. Reception organised us a return transfer from the airport and we asked the driver to call at a supermarket on the way. This was brilliant for us as there are mini markets in Boverets but they don't have much choice and are quite expensive. We ended up having lunch out and dinner at the chalet but we have quite young children. The chalet is on three floors two bedrooms downstairs and two in the middle. Kitchen and living room on the top floor. Lots of bathrooms and living room kitchen has comfy furniture and great views of the snow. It was perfect for families and groups. There was 7 of us staying.

Chalet Mechka was amazing! The sauna and fireplace in the chalet was a great enjoyment at the end of a day of skiing! The living room/dining room/kitchen area is actually bigger than pictures do it justice! The reception staff was very friendly and helpful! The restaurant on location had a good selection of food and the staff always strived to accommodate all our needs. Lastly, Joanna was always available online to help and an amazing host! The transport from and to the Chalet was also reliable and accommodating! Overall, we were really pleased and would recommend it highly!

There is nothing that we disliked. Everything is as advertised :)
