Lovely villa and lovely hosts.

We loved the villa! It is perfect for a family with 1-2 children as it has two separate rooms. Also great for two couples. The villa is surrounded by a beautiful garden and the pool is perfect especially on a hot day. We loved the breakfast. Putu and Rosie were incredibly hospitable and helpful. The villa team had decorated my bed with a birthday message and filled the bathtub with rose petals which really showed the effort and care they took to make our trip special. The location of the villa is 10-15 minutes drive to center of Ubud and set in a quiet neighborhood near a rice terrace.

A Tranquil Rainforest Retreat – Perfect in Every Way

We had the most unforgettable stay at this stunning villa nestled in the heart of the rainforest and surrounded by serene rice fields. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a private sanctuary—peaceful, lush, and beautifully maintained. The rooms were well appointed, each with its own en-suite bathroom, offering both comfort and privacy. The attention to detail in the design and decor was clear throughout, blending modern luxury with the natural beauty of the setting. The pool was lovely—sparkling clean and framed by tropical greenery, it was the perfect place to unwind. We also made great use of the fabulous area set aside for daily massages, which the villa staff arranged seamlessly for us. It felt like having our own personal spa in the jungle. Breakfasts were excellent every day, and they were happy to prepare them whenever suited us, which was such a nice touch. We also arranged for a driver through the villa each day, which made exploring the area so easy. The driver was friendly, knowledgeable, and the rate was very reasonable. All in all, this villa offered the ideal mix of relaxation, luxury, and service. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with all the comforts of a boutique resort.

We would love to return to this villa for another vacation - it is perfect in every way.

The villa is located in a very quiet place, away from the city center, very cozy, quiet, lots of greenery, wonderful hosts and staff, all very caring and helpful. They took care of us from early morning to evening, organized excursions, have their own drivers. And the owner of the villa himself is happy to take us and show us places to visit on the island of Bali if possible. We, naturalists, were very happy that he is interested in birds, we went birding together. It was a pleasure to live in this villa. I recommend it to everyone.

Family bond villa

Very clean and private villa all are very flexible and comfortable. Very tidy and clean!! We really enjoyed the stay with big help from villa staff. Don’t forget to ask massage! It worth it to do on the bed in the garden!

Was a beautiful villa surrounded by beautiful gardens and a beautiful close walk to temple and rice fields I loved the villa

My only complaint was when it was time to check out the credit card machine wouldn’t work and we had to pay American dollars to pay our bill was inconvenient

Great for families, great location, great staff

Handy location only 10 minutes from the centre of Ubud, great rooms and comfy beds. Staff are super friendly and breakfast was great every morning, found the owner super helpful and responsive if we had silly questions like “where a good coffee spot” all in all really enjoyed our stay!

Very peaceful quiet location, a bit away from very busy centre of Ubud. The staff and especially Tinie make this stay wonderful. She is very kind, a great cook and organized several activities for us on the spot.

Amazing friendly journey

We had a fantastic stay at villa Alam. Putu organized everything we asked for but Tinny made the difference. Everyday she prepared a terrific breakfast. We loved her banana pancakes. Also the fresh fruits and her Bali storytelling.

The only ‘downside’ is the remote location. In walking distance no coffee place or eatery up to standard. But Grab was our best friend so we really enjoyed.

I would recommend this property for a couple or family with older kids.

The villa was beautifully presented and comfortable for the family. Having a cooked breakfast each morning was a treat and the swimming pool was a great size.

Everything. The property is clean, tidy and kid friendly. The pool was amazing and the rooms were good sizes too. The Villa is situated in a quaint neighbourhood overlooking rice paddies however within close proximity to Central Ubud. Our favourite part of the stay was the breakfast! The villa provides fresh breakfast every morning that is made by Tene who is an absolute delight. She is lovely, engaging and a beautiful soul who always happy to answer all our questions about Ubud and Bali. The owner Sang Putu is fabulous and is happy to accommodate requests or arrange for whatever it is you need. We highly recommend asking Sang Putu to organise the private chef, the meals were amazing!!!! He organised our driver Jerry for the entirety of our stay and Jerry was fantastic He was not only our driver but also our tour guide. He took us to the best of places and knew all the shortcuts to get there so we weren’t sitting in traffic 10/10 will recommend staying here again.l

Perfect

What’s not to love! This spacious property is absolutely gorgeous. A true hidden gem. Ketut welcomed us with delicious welcome drinks. She made the most incredible breakfasts for us. She even organised a birthday cake for our best friends birthday. We felt so blessed and grateful to stay here and were so sad to leave.

The quiet serenity of the villa calms your soul. Away for the hustle bustle, it is a perfect abode for those who crave for a relaxed, undisturbed and peaceful stay.

As the place is little away from the centre, having proper dinner becomes difficult. Of course you can order online if you are conversant with the names of the local dishes, which unfortunately we were not.

quiet and family time

the villa is beautiful and located in a very quiet place. our hosts Tini and Putu are very nice and attentive to help us get the best of our visit in Ubud. the breakfast prepared by Tini is amazing with eggs, fruits, smoothies and pancakes! the beds are very comfortable too! and the swimming pool is always welcome at the end of a long day in ubud! and if you have time, I recommend you take a massage in the villa.

the traffic to go to ubud is sometimes a bit crazy, but the price of our Gojek was max 8€, and most of the time 3€.

We loved absolutely everything about our stay. We read the reviews and were still absolutely blown away by both the villa, but more surprisingly our outstanding hosts Putu and Tini. Breakfast, the surroundings, the rooms, gardens, pool, hosts and community were exceptional. Forever in my heart!

Exceptional

Villa Alam Surya Ubud was more than we imagined. This private villa was beautiful inside and out. The rooms were very big and clean. The shower had a nice outdoor touch. The garden was picture perfect, and the private pool was wonderful. The best part about our stay was our sweet staff, Tene. She came and cooked breakfast for us every morning, which was delicious. She was helpful in recommending fun places to see and setting up rides for us. She was the icing on our cake that made our stay so much more special. We would recommend anyone to come stay here; just do it for a good and relaxing time.

We didn't like that our stay here was so short. We would have loved to stay longer if we could.

Our stay at Putu’s place was just wonderful.

We liked everything. We were welcomed by Tini who prepared excellent breakfasts for us. She is ever so friendly. Towels were regularly changed. Rooms are spacious. We enjoyed the swimming pool as well which we used after spending a day in Ubud centre. Putu is also very nice and made us feel at home.

Great staff, well maintained villa with a nice pool in a beautiful neighbourhood (go see the rice terraces just next to the building). The breakfast was great too and typical for Bali. The daybed is the perfect place to have a nice sunset and relax during the afternoon.

All in all, it was an excellent Villa stay for us for a refreshing experience of bali.

We stayed here for 5 days and it was amazing. Very relaxing. Staff are very welcoming and warm. Any questions were sorted out swiftly. We were greeted with a welcome fresh coconut. Food was very tasty and cooked fresh every day for breakfast. Local authentic cuisine with 4 choices to choose from. Fresh fruits and fresh fruit juice every day. Location is away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud but quiet and serene. Convenient to get a taxi. Rooms are huge with massive rainshower and separate bathtubs. Tini, the housekeeper, was attentive and helpful. Gusti, our driver for the whole stay again was very helpful with plenty of suggestions for places to visit depending on our schedule. Gave us excellent tips on getting up to gate of heaven early to avoid the 2-3 hours queue. Sang Putu gave good recommendations as well and sorted out local Balinese massage for us.

Everything, not one negative. We loved everything. Beautiful people, great location, perfect villa, great breakfast. The staff went above & beyond with all our needs. Amazing villa to stay in Ubud

Amazing villa with a nice view, in a quiet place close to all Ubud attractions. The staff was very friendly and helpful, great breakfast was provided and we even had a massage on the property as there is a massage table in the garden. Definitely recommend for the stay in Ubud if you don't want to be in the city itself.

AMAZING AND MAGICAL

the property was amazing. first time In Bali, 3 girls travelling alone. at first we were a little nervous as the Villa is about 10/15 min drive away from the centre of ubud. but taxis are easy to use and get around. we mentioned this to the owner we were a little nervous as we was not in the typical tourist location. and he put a night guard on free of charge every night from 10pm - 6am to make sure we felt safe. we soon came to realise this is a very safe neighbourhood anyway. we were just nervous as it was our first trip this far from home! the Vila is BEAUTIFUL. the staff as well also go above a beyond for you. honestly highlight of my trip to Bali, and really did make an impression on us that will last a life time. I have already recommended this place to other people and I would 100% return when I come back to Bali next year!! thank you for making our trip so special.

stunning property in a little local neighbourhood of Ubud. loved being away from all the tourists. it’s off the beaten track but we liked that. It’s probably 10 mins in a car from Ubud central.

I liked everything really, I guess the only issue is you will need to taxi everywhere.

A relaxing, rejuvenating mini stay in a lush tropical sanctuary idealistic of beautiful Bali

Gorgeous property, stunningly beautiful location, world-famous Balinese hospitality...honestly could not have asked for more. Putu and Tinni were gracious, accommodating and sincere, nothing was too much trouble - they organised food delivery, massages, trip suggestions and transport for us. Tinni’s cooking is delicious and her mango smoothie is not to be missed. Our driver, Wayan, was lovely and our toddler fell in love with him immediately. The villa is like something from a dream, lush and beautiful, with hidden gems to find - I didn’t even find the daybed until day 2. It’s nestled above a river and next to rice fields with a temple near by. The pool is perfect for a small family, rooms are well appointed and comfortable, and I challenge you to find a more lovely shower. Thank you so much for having us, we’ll keep fond memories of this little slice of heaven for years to come
